If this is anything like the contest entry, then it most certainly is sad. When I get round to reviewing it for the bin, I'll have explained exactly why, too.

Reviewed for the Goodfic Bin. Whilst I do enjoy this story, I think it could use a bit more impact: my problem lies in the first half which was not in the original prompt. I've explained my reasoning best I can here. I'd really like to see some of these issues fixed before I can let it into the bin.
