Well, this was a very nice and very sad story. However, it's hard to tell when the scene skips time, for example, from Fluttershy's picnic with her friends to Angel's death.

I'm really glad you liked the story.

To respond to your note, I left the passage of time between the picnic and Angel's death ambiguous. During the picnic, I did describe Angel's aging body, however I never explicitly say that he was dying (or at least, I didn't intend to). The cause of his death and the amount of time in-between is really up to you decide.

Again, I appreciate the praise and that makes me want to smile.

I loved the concept of this, but if I'm honest I had mixed feelings about the execution. The main thing that got me was the really slow pacing of the first part of the story. I wouldn't have wanted it to rush along, but maybe this went a little too far the other way. On the other hand/hoof/whatever, the ending was lovely. I wish more people appreciated what Fluttershy must have to deal with in that respect.
