One morning in Equestria, the sun fails to rise and both the sun and moon are not seen in the sky. Discord is suspected to be the guilty party, but of course only Fluttershy believes he is innocent. They soon go to Canterlot, where Princess Luna reveals that Discord is in fact innocent and that Princess Celestia has taken on a terminal illness. Discord and Luna rally the Mane 6 and Spike to embark on an epic adventure to save the Princess of the Sun and find the real perpetrator behind the bizarre skies.

This was a pretty nice send off, and while I don't think it's as good as some of your first few stories, it was still a fun read.
I did notice some continuity hiccups here and there; since your stories can almost be considered one whole series, they have some call backs to previous ones. While these goofs are noticeable, they are minor and inconsequential in the grand scheme of things and in no way affect the overall quality of the stories themselves.
I've gotta say, these stories have been a blast to read. I hope life treats you well in the future.

This needs more explanation for why Twilight is fighting the memory of the three times her friends fell short of the mark, and then, not minutes later turns out to be The Nightmare's main host. Who PRIOR to this stole the Elements. I suspect it was a Jekyll and Hyde type deals with "
JeckleJekyll" being unaware of "Hyde"'s existence, but more explanation would be nice..."You know, staying in Ponyville with her friends?

The Dark tag is a precaution because of vivid descriptions and near-death experiences.
This is really good in general, but the reveal of Twilight was a bit sudden. Why did she save Shadowstealth and/or the rest from him if the Nightmare already controlled her?
