Always be nice to other people. They outnumber you eight billion to one.

Woohoo! Glad you enjoyed it. ^^ Check out Brian Jacko's UT fic (linked in the description) too!

UT 99 on Facing Worlds! I knew it was 99 the moment you described the rocket launcher. This story is very well written and was delightful to read. I can tell that this was written by someone who obviously knows and loves the game very much. Great job on this, and Pinkie with the Translocator and Ripper was my favorite scene. :) The cover photo made me laugh; Rainbow Dash looks like she has a 20% chance of surviving that sniper shot.

That was a rather heartwarming scene with Derpy, and she did a great job describing why UT is a good game. :) I like your idea of the Snowdrop game mode because sound is often crucial in a game like UT; Specifically for UT, I use a 7.1 headset because it's so important to have that sound advantage in a game like this, especially when Dueling. It 'sounds' like they were playing on the popular arena, Deck-17. :)

Yay, thank you! I'm very glad you enjoyed. :raritystarry: I do indeed have many fond memories of UT99. Just such a superbly crafted game. Back in the day, I had to play it on the lowest resolution settings just to get it to run at any decent speed, which is absurd by today's gaming standards. :)

Pinkie with the Translocator and Ripper was my favorite scene. :)

I wanted to keep your idea of Pinkie being an insanely unpredictable deathmatch ace, and show just why players - even Rainbow Dash - fear her so much. :pinkiecrazy:

The idea for a blind match came about because I needed a game mode that Derpy could play on an equal footing with other ponies. At first, I thought Darkmatch, but I figured complete blindness would make for an interesting experience too. Since the ponies are actually playing on a physical battlefield, they have more sensory cues than a video game player does, so it's a little more plausible.

Correct! :pinkiehappy: Well, almost; it's Deck 16 from UT99. (Deck 17 is Deck 16's "bigger brother" magma refinery from UT2K4).
