Mr. Grimm

Greetings! I come from the farthest reaches of the Internets to share my mediocrity with you all!

E

(Originally titled 'Wrath Of The Manxome Foe') An attack in East Trottingham has left a villiage in ruins. Twilight fears that it's the start of another dragon war, but soon she and her friends discover that it's much worse than that: An ancient nightmare of a beast has seemingly returned from the dead, and proceeds to rampage across Equestria with unrelenting fury. Panic soon overtakes the country, and Celestia's once peaceful kingdom is set on edge with fear as they flee from the creature's wave of destruction. But amidst this chaos, some try to subdue the beast as the heroes of legend have done before. But can they stand against something that even dragons fear?

I can tell this is a story that is well written for the first 10 lines, I'll keep my eye on it

Cool story bro! And I'm not being sarcastic, this was really interesting! I look foward to more!:pinkiehappy:

gotta kvetch a bit about how Rainbow Dash "snapped out of it" "with a sheepish grin."
One does not simply snap out of hysterics like that after seeing a monster straight out of their worst foalhood nightmares chasing after them.

510557 Thanks for pointing that out. I fixed it. It was supposed to be one of the comedic points of the story, but meh, I guess it wasn't that funny anyway.

512381soo anything besides the jabberwock gonna make a monster appearance if you do I have ideas :rainbowkiss:

703131

Well, not exactly, seeing as they're all as scared of the Jabberwock as everyone else is.

704916 what bout jabberwock spawns ya know little jabbers:moustache:

705163

If he were able to do that, Equestria wouldn't exist. :twilightsheepish:

Anyway, there's an explanation for his singularity later on in the story.

705258ooohhh....... but still little jabbers:pinkiehappy: just have them die and one survive for sequel!

I thought of Skyrim and the Jabberwock staff.
oh god

American McGee's Jabberwock is the most nightmarish one and defenitly deadly, sophisticated, and all around the epitome of insanity twisted into evil.

Okay, I'll say it:

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch."

706293

"Beware the Jubjub bird and shun
the Frumious Bandersnatch."

Only a total idiot would try and face the monster without it.
And cue the idiot...

Heh... nice '300' reference there. :rainbowlaugh:

How does this not have more views and ratings? Tis criminal, I tell thee.

WOAH! The Jabberwock clobbered a dragon-form Chrysalis? What'll it take to beat this thing, GODZILLA?

869235

I kind of imagined the Jabberwock to be the Equestrian equivalent of Godzilla, with all the other monsters fearing him and such. :pinkiehappy:

Given what we've seen, I can believe it.

Ooh, looks good.

Flam tag though? What? :applejackconfused:

1354511

I'm working on their chapter right now...It should be done...eventually... :twilightsheepish:

Equestria is the kind of place where even "Villainous" ponies wouldn't just sit idly by and watch fellow ponies get killed. So, far its been practically a grand tour of every character that's every been on the show. Who's next? Gilda? Photo Finish?

Was jolly nice of Flim and Flam to lend a hoof like that, seeing as how Twilight and Pinkie contributed to their loss in Ponyville before. Guess they're not the types to hold a grudge.

I'm also still loving the alliterative titles. :pinkiehappy:

It flies. The Jabberwock flies.
Oh, SH--

Thanks-For-Saving-Us-From-Certain-Death-At-The-Jaws-Of-The-Jabberwock Parties are the absolute best kind of parties. This is fact. :pinkiehappy:

Good to see this updated, keep going!

Rainbow's a ham even when she's losing it.

I should read this when I have more time. In the "Read Later" folder it goes :)

How is it that an entertaining story like this has been out for more than a year, and only received twenty likes? I enjoyed it. I just hope it will update soon. I mean, talk about unlikely heroes!

'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths outgrabe

Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch
Beware the Jubjub Bird
And shun the frumious Bandersnatch

He took his vorpal sword in hand
Long time the manxome Foe he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum Tree
And stood awhile in thought

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the Tulgey Wood
And burbled as it came

One, two, one, two! And through and through!
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead and with it's head
He went galumphing back

"And has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O Frabjous Day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy

'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths outgrabe
