Yeeesh. Hope he finds a good therapist...
Ah, who am I kidding. It'd take miracle to sort out the amount of mental trauma he's built up. As I said in my previous comment, you might have taken Dr. Nurem a BIT far.

I consider Nurem practice for some of the other things I may or may not write in the future.
I don't normally deal with someone who's anywhere near as bad as Nurem, so I wanted to see how much was too much, how far was too far.
Thank you for telling me!

...he has gone far enough to be vilified by almost everybody he meets. It is up for interpretation whether or not that means you took writing him too far.
Uuuggh... That was... ugh. Not the story/writing itself, that was still pretty good as always, it's just...
This is mostly a copypaste of "A New Ranger". Or that story copypasted yours. More likely, as in that story this chapter was told by Vincent POV, but frankly, I don't know, I don't care.
This is the problem I have with this kind of crossovers. Crossovers like this should be used better, telling the events by both stories characters perspective, giving the events a different meaning depending on the character and giving the characters more characterization too, as the readers compare their thoughts and reactions. Copy-paste like this is not only boring, as the reader has to read again the same thing, but also a huge lost chance.
I'll still be reading both of the stories, and I'm still liking them both, but please try to remember my suggestion.
Peace out.

Well...I talked to Zeus about it and we both find Nurem to be...VERY disturbing. By now you'll likely have received a PM concerning the issue for future chapters.
4972495
Eh, I don't see him as purposefully evil. I see him as having no real understanding as to what good or evil actually are. Actually, here, let me get in his head for a moment...
"Good? Evil? What are those things, save constructs of society? The same society that I seek to advance with my research. And sacrifices must always be made in the name of advancement and research. But society doesn't want to know about the hundreds of lab rats that you killed to procure a drug that might help them live a little longer, no. They merely want the drug. Therefor, I am done with society. They don't understand the value of research, of knowing a thing to know it. If they choose to label me as a villain, let them. They'll not find me."
...Yeesh, even I hate the guy now...
4972513
Yeaaah...THAT I can understand. What I don't get is the part where he FORCES Vincent to push the button that did I don't want to remember what to Sam...while blatantly lying to the camera that Vincent did it. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
4972512
Eh. At most there's going to be one or two more mentions about Nurem, spread over a few chapters here and there. Plus, like Zeus said, Nurem's not here anymore.
...And while the scars will last a lifetime, I'll eventually push the little Abra past them...
4972513
Everything else he did was more or less standard mad scientist/For Science behavior.
4972528
Probably another test to see what would happen to Vincent's psyche.
4972513
I personally think that he is well written. Though he is cruel and heartless, he is also good at what he does. Although I do pray that men such as him do not exist in our world at present...
4972530
Good. Cause you hammered the point that Nurem is a monster in human form, the character we all are meant to hate, an absolute piece of trash (morally), etc, well enough...heck, you kinda overkilled the point with how many flashbacks you shown, some of them repeats.
4972549
Yeah. I mean, the scars will last forever, but the team will help Vincent push past it and heal soon enough. I'm going to stop focusing on the 'good doctor' within a few more chapters.
Besides, they'll soon have something much more immediate to worry about.
4972536
...your character is piece of trash who deserves to burn in the deepest pits of Hell for all eternity, while being forced to endure the effects of a billion Penance Stares, AND being shown how his research amounted to nothing. That's my final verdict on him.
4972555
Good. I think we've all had enough of the 'good doctor' to last us a lifetime
4972556
Excellent. I succeeded beyond my wildest imaginings.
I'll just have to remember how far is too far for the next time I wish to make a villain.
(I don't have much practice in writing them.)
4972558
Vincent certainly has!
4972558
On a different note, what do you think of Luke?
4972694
He's both one of the saddest and strongest characters I've seen. I don't think I need to explain why he is sad, but as for why he is strong, its cause he went through hell and back, and he still retains a decent moral compass where most people would have gone psycho.
4972772
Thanks, that's actually exactly what I was going for with his character
I imagine that bit's voice sounds like a dalek's.
All silly and WEIRDLY EM-PHA-SIZED!
4974756 me too! *squeeze*
So. Arceus wishes for a world were Pokemon are not slaved by humans, yet he still brings trainers to Equestria?
well the trainers were turn into pokemon and can't talk much without a spell or physic type and they don't have pokeballs to catch anymore pokemon and other ponies on the planet are used to other different sentient beings species so yeah no slavery other then the diamond dogs but they are mostly hated for that.
Ten minutes? That poor bastard...
Okay, author, I need to vent this...
A sociopathic doctor, who does experiments that either permanently scar or KILL the subject, named NUREM!
I can't tell if I hate or love you now.
Well played...

Specifically only trainers who were kind to their Pokemon, who treated them as friends and companions. People like Team Rocket, who see Pokémon as tools, are right out.
