This story is a sequel to What Remains I: The Griffon and Her Dweeb

Nightmare Moon is gone, vanquished by Twilight Sparkle and her brave entourage of amazing friends just after meeting one another for the first time. Redeemed from her twisted state, the former Princess Luna returned to the side of good, ever so grateful of the forgiveness her sister, Princess Celestia, offered to her.

And to most everypony, this is where it ends. The two loving sisters were reunited and Equestria was once again guided under their collective wisdom and kindness all across the land. But along the fringes of Equestria, in a small etch of land where the moon never sets and the stars always shines, lives a small cabal of powerful ponies with a zealous intent.

Recruiting the likes of a disgruntled young man with the mysterious power to both travel between and fuse together realms of reality, the final key to a grand plot may have finally been acquired, setting in motion a path of destruction that will shake Equestria to its very core.

Interesting I wonder what happened between Twilight and the human to make him resent her.

5141631 Thanks! This entry is actually the first part in a sequel series for the four installments I made prior. He makes reference to it at certain points earlier on, but it's in Alistair IV: The Griffon and Her Dweeb that the entire topic is explored.

Well reading the previous series now I know that detail and like him even more.

5166866 Thank you very much! :pinkiehappy: I've never gotten confirmation over how much people actually read of the stories I've put forward, so I must say it is very encouraging to see your very kind feedback of it. So far, I'm planning on making Children of the Night a three parter, but progress on my end really does need to speed up. Either way, thank you very much for reading!

Good luck with it and have fun

So this is the start of a fanfic series? How many fanfics will be in this series?

5220058 Well...I've run into a bit of a hitch in that department.

When I originally planned out Children of the Night I had the simple goal of making it a trilogy. But to bridge the character between the first series entitled Alistair and the this one (his personality changes significantly between the stories) I added a fourth installment entitled Alistair IV: The Griffon and Her Dweeb. In retrospect, that one should have been the first in Children of the Night and After the Fall should be the second in the trilogy.

But to answer the question, only about three more chapters in this story remain and then I'm on to the last entry in this current story arc.

Also, thank you very much for bringing the confusing situation with the titles to light, I need to get around to fixing that.
