Angry Gaming

Ponyville's dirt roads and homes were all silent in the dead of night, except for one alicorn princess as she searched through her library in the Castle of Friendship. Aimlessly searching through her bookshelves, Twilight looked down at the pile of books that she left on the floor. ''Searching for a book about the Night Guards is going to be a challenge.''

The Night Guards were nocturnal creatures who protected Princess Luna before and after her banishment, Twilight was always fascinated with learning more about them. She knew one way to get the information she needed, ask questions directly from the source, Princess Luna.

Twilight Sparkle tapped her chin in an intrigued matter, an idea came to her mind, ''Princess Luna wouldn't mind if I came over to ask her a question, I hope it's not a bad time.''

With that being said, Twilight spread her wings and flew across the night sky to the Canterlot Castle.

Two Night Guards stood outside in front of the castle gates to ensure the protection of their lunar leader, holding their spears. Twilight descended from the night sky in which she landed in their view, the guards blocked her path.

''State your business,'' one of the Night Guards demanded.

''I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, requesting to have a private question session with Princess Luna. If she is too busy at the moment, I completely understand.'' Twilight responded, keeping her gaze at both of the guards.

''Our most sincere apologies, Princess Twilight.'' the Night Guard bowed before the princess, both guards stepped away from Twilight and opened the gate.

''It's no trouble at all, you guys were doing your job.'' Twilight assured them as she walked away from the castle's gates and into the castle.

The former student trotted into the castle with a pep in her step, where one of Luna's top tier Night Guards was waiting for Twilight. ''Ah, Princess Twilight, I've been expecting you.''

They were standing across from each other in a dark room that was well lit by the torches on the wall. Walking beside each other down the dark corridor, Twilight stopped in her tracks once she remembered why she was here.

''I didn't think that you would expect me, but I'd like you to inform Princess Luna about something.'' Twilight requested, rubbing the back of her neck.

''What would you like me to inform her?'' Midnight asked, raising an eyebrow.

''I'd like you to inform her about a question session that I have planned, I'm intrigued to learn more about the Night Guards.'' Twilight rubbed her chin, tapping Midnight's chest plate with her hoof.

''If she won't be able to give you the information you need, I wouldn't mind teaching you about our history.'' Midnight said, touching the Night Guard insignia on her chest plate.

The Night Guard's insignia displayed a slitted-pupil on the front of the chest plate, an insignia that represented the Night Guards as a whole. Whether as a one pony or as one unit, they are always there to help each other and never backing down from any obstacle put in front of them where there is only one common goal: to protect the night.

Reaching the end of the corridor to the hallway where Celestia and Luna's private chambers were across from each other, Twilight knocked on the door. ''Thanks for helping me out, I didn't quite catch your name.''

''The name is Midnight Blossom, before you go in I should tell Luna about your arrival.'' Midnight knocked on the door and Luna's magic opened the door to the private chamber.

She bowed before the Princess of the Night, raising her head back up, ''Sorry to intrude on your gaming, but you have a visitor that wants to speak with you.''

Luna threw her headset down, snorting out smoke from her muzzle. ''My teammates are idiots! There is no point in camping in a corner if you're going to get killed anyway, they must have a death wish!''

Midnight froze in shock, but she at least tried to get the right words out, ''I'll send her in,'' She ran out of the room and screamed at the top of her lungs in horror.

Before Twilight walked into the private chambers, Luna threw an empty can of soda out the window in a fit of rage. Twilight never thought that she would see royalty act like this, especially from Luna, but most ponies think that the princesses enjoy going to Day Court and Night Court having to listen to the complaints from their denizens. Whether pointless or trivial matters, they had to put up with it besides the boring lectures.

''Is this a bad time?'' Twilight asked.

''Not at all, Twilight Sparkle.'' Luna answered, she leaned back in her beanbag chair and sipped out of energy drink.

Twilight stepped into the private chambers, she took out a quill, ink, and a piece of parchment. ''Luna, I was wondering if you could answer my question?''

''What pray tell is your question?'' Luna asked before taking out her opponents, shooting out bullets that penetrated through their bodies which earned her a killstreak.

''I wanted to know about the history of your guard brigade, the Night Guards.'' Twilight confirmed, she glanced over at the game that Luna was playing.

''I'll tell you about the history of the Night Guards.'' Luna pressed the pause button on her controller.

''Before my banishment, there was a royal decree that Celestia and I would have our own brigade of guards that protect us. The difference between the Royal Guards and Night Guards are, Royal Guards are active in the daytime where they can save their strength and sleep at night for the Night Guards it is quite the opposite,'' Luna continued, ''Sometimes I question my sister's methods of training her guards.''

Twilight wrote down every fact that she could gather, she dipped her quill in the ink and dropped the quill on the parchment. ''That answers my question, Luna. Thank you so much, but what training method does Princess Celestia give the Royal Guards?''

Luna thought of the most accurate answer she could conjure up, she turned her attention to Twilight and said, ''My sister's method was always attaching a piece of cake to a fishing line as a trick for her guards to actually do their training, most of them are very lazy. So, there you have it.'' the lunar princess resumed her video game, while Twilight was packing her note taking resources.

[/hr]

''Thanks again, Luna. See you tomorrow!'' Twilight exclaimed, flying out of the private chambers.

''Oh... I almost forgot to tell her that most Night Guards tend to sleep in underground barracks. She'll figure it out on her own.'' Luna shrugged and resumed her game again.

''Silly little filly, you dare try to knife me?'' Luna's yelling echoed off the walls, closing her door with her magic.

She crossed her hind legs, rotated her analog sticks, and knifed the adversary on the opposite team for the final kill. ''The victory has been doubled!''

The End

Wouldn't Luna be a bit more impatient from rage? I know I would be...

4715115 Yes, but she is too frustrated to even think about that.

Angry Gaming

That's like angry sex, right?

4715158 What gave you that idea? :rainbowlaugh:

4715120 woah. I've never gone that far... her rage level must be... over 9000!

4715168 Oh. Well if I knew how to write mature stories, I would've done the story differently with sex included.

4715170 I blame the team she was assigned to. :rainbowlaugh:

4715171 It's okay, it's really just me.

I did a Gilmore Girls marathon a few moths ago and kept waiting for Rory and Paris to get together.

4715185 You are a genius.

4715171

I know how to do mature. Just look at my story inventory. :pinkiecrazy:

*Sigh*
You know, I don't blame you. Improving on your writing is a long process. So, If it's okay, I'd like to review this again... Keep in mind that I won't do this often as I have been, okay? I'll feel like nothing but a pest if I do.
So, let's start.
One, those two paragraphs that explain about the Night guards aren't needed... I was like, really? You couldn't like have Midnight Blossom explain this as they trotted down the hall? It would've made for a much better story if it was just them talking due to the fact that Luna was busy gaming. Hell, Twilight, as well as us, could've gotten to know Midnight Blossom better if it was like that. That also carries to the next problem I have.
Who the hell is Midnight Blossom? This was the same problem in "Pays to keep a cool head" with Raindrops. It would've been nice if we got to know her better, instead of just casting her aside for Princess Luna. Especially since people like me don't know who Midnight Blossom is. It also would've been better if you found a clever way to introduce us to her. Instead of, say her name after she speaks her first line and say that she was the top tier guard on the paragraph. Because the moment you put "... Midnight asked, raising an eyebrow." I simply was like,:facehoof:
Finally, I liked to point out that the scene with the two guards was kind of pointless. Okay, I'll give you credit for at least pointing out why they acted like they acted, and why you put that scene there in the ending. But, it was pointless for the most part. It would've been much better if you used it to describe more Twilight's reason for researching them, or to have her ask why the hell would they shout out state your business if they should know that it's just Princess Twilight. Just do it in a clever way.
Now, to your credit, the pacing is better, not perfect, but better... Slightly. Mostly in the beginning. But, when you introduce Midnight, it sort of goes downhill from there.
:ajsleepy: In the end, it was yet another disappointing one. But, despite all that, I still have faith that you'll improve in the future.

4715229 Very aware that you write those, pretty well done actually.

4715174 give me their addresses. I'll make sure they pay... hooves may be broken in the process though.

4715232 You're not being a pest, just doing your job. Thank you for the review, I need to make more room for improvement.

4715236 I think they've payed their price already.

4715237
You're welcome, my friend.

4715233

Thank you. :twilightblush: Consider there being a standing offer for me to help you with stories, especially clop. :scootangel:

4715417 I'll definitely consider! :scootangel:

4715183
I love how that isn't even a word.:rainbowlaugh:

Alright, to start I must say, I love this story for one. :pinkiehappy:
I'm here to give you advice, but what do I know? :rainbowwild:
I'm a beginning writer, so I know nothing. There was a two things I noticed:
One, I think it would be nice to build up to things.
Two, I need this to be longer! I need MOAR! :flutterrage:
Yeah, I really enjoyed this story. Keep it up! :raritywink:

4715898 Well, thanks for the advice!

4715918 Sadly, I won't make it longer. :rainbowwild:

4715920
As long as you keep writing, I'll be happy! :rainbowwild::twilightsmile:

4715943 I'll supply the writing then.

Luna, sorry for this but when it comes to the knives, and tomahawks in a certain game, guns are pretty much useless against me, even when my arm is bandaged(right arm)

What fucking drugs were you one... cause i want some

4720253 I'm drug-free.

4720265
Most are but me they don't work anymore I'm looking for a new type of high

4720304 So, why did you ask what drugs I was taking? :rainbowhuh:

4720308
You think I have complete control over what I type... I have no idea

4720323 Never said that, but okay.

4720325
I KNOW BUT DON'T LET SUNNY OUT... waaait a minute I didn't threaten you huh... well disregard Sunny hehe

4720347
Thanks pal just don't tell anyone of Sunny :P

Shining Armor be like, "N--no Twilight! My training with the Royal Guards never involved cake. And I don't know where you heard we were lazy. My stallions are the most dedicate--*burp*--"

4729308 Someone should write a story about that. :rainbowlaugh:

4730277 Yeah, I'm like the Flash. Maybe you should write a Gamer Luna story too.

4730306 The to do list. :rainbowlaugh:

You wrote Luna's character very well!

4745649 Thank you, really appreciate it.

Too much exposition.
Could've been longer.

Other than those two gripes, thumbs up.

4774912 I would've made it longer, but I planned to make it short. Nothing more I could add to it.
