Fluttershy is tasked with welcoming Maud Pie as she comes by for another visit as Pinkie Pie is busy. unbeknownst to Pinkie, bringing together these two mares again could lead to some very positive repercussions.

Fluttershy has excellent pattern recognition.
The idea that Fluttershy taught herself about rocks for the sake of being able to talk to Maud about her interests is just so adorable.

4596803 there's also SonicMlpGamerandArtist, I put everyone in the order they joined, so it originally went Me, Crows, UB, You, then him, If someone's unable to write at the time then they can just inform me and I'll make the necessary arrangement to move on.
So if I don't hear back from UB, you'll be next, If you're busy then SMGA will go. So will you be able to if needed?

This will be fun, I'm sure. I'm kind of hoping I get something really strange when it comes to my turn, though I'll probably regret that later 
This seemed maybe a bit rushed near the beginning, but slowed down well enough near the end. I do wish it was a bit longer. That being said, it's very cute and fluffy, and it leaves you with the warm and fuzzies.

I might do some of those ships (if they're requested a lot), for now I'm writing 6 Shades, plus there's that spin off we discussed on the other page, and since I created Daisy Chain I kind of act as an administrator for it (speaking of, I should probably talk to the writer whose turn it is).

I liked the story, I didn't love it like some but you did a good job all things considered
. Maud is my favorite pony so it's only natural I'd have criticisms with how her character is portrayed in this. Granted, Maud's personality in my opinion isn't as suited to shipping as many of the other ponies. She's blunt, literal, has an interest in rocks bordering on obsession if not beyond that, doesn't care what other ponies think about her actions, and doesn't show her emotions the same ways other ponies do. In many ways she resembles a rock herself, from coloration to personality. 
. I hope this helps with future Maud ships if they come up. 
Rocks are blunt, strong, direct, simple, and subject to gradual change over time. If rocks are described in an anthropomorphic sense they may be called patient, calm, dense, intimidating, occasionally reckless (like a rock slide or avalanche), and stubborn to list a few. These are also all things I can see in Maud. If you stick with the idea that Maud started liking Fluttershy romantically the last time they saw each other it would make more sense for her to question what these feelings are at length and likely even to Fluttershy's face. Most people are confused when they first have anything remotely resembling romantic feelings let alone a pony who's lived on a rock farm all her life and at best learned about love from her parents.
Again, regardless of my criticism, you did a fine job with what you had to work with and even I have trouble figuring out how to deal with Maud ships; though I do think the longer, the better with her. Even with my thorough analysis of her character there's always possibility for error as well so even I could be wrong about all of this

6360600 Thanks for the compliment, and I understand the criticism. Maud is certainly the type of character that would benefit for a longer story, but for a short fic I wrote as quickly as I could, I think it turned out ok
I think if we didn't already have a Applejack deadpan (
) a maud emoticon could work well in it's stead.

I didn't like how Maud's character was portrayed in this story. It was also a bit rushed, so that played a role... She just seemed to have to MUCH emotion, if you know what I mean. I'm going to leave a neutral, no thumbs up or down.
