As for how many stories, I'm pretty sure it will last for as many writers there are, unless it goes into a pattern. Then... the number wouldn't be able to be determined.

You do realized even assuming that Pinkie and Maud are related to Applejack, there is soooo much distance they might as well not be related.
I did the research when that episode came out and while i forget it was something like one of their great-great-great-grandparents had a kid with the other's great-great-grandparent. Something like that.

4600454 basically smga is correct, we'll keep going through the writers in a pattern, we're also trying to add as many writers as possible so we get a nice variety in style (we currently have like 7 or 8 writers)

Maud's my favorite pony and she's pretty difficult to right for (an understatement), especially for ship fics yet you captured her personality perfectly
. I loved this fic and would love to see another longer version outside of the Daisy Chain or even a different Maud ship from you. Sorry if I'm gushing but this is seriously something I never thought I'd see 
. I'd even go so far as to say it could easily be another show in the series if not for the target demographic of the show 
. Also, even though I've yet to fact check the information regarding rocks it at least sounds like you did your research. All of it just seems so well thought out. And from the comments I read on the last one in the chain you wrote this all very quickly too. I honestly can't help but want to thank you for this, so I will. Thank you for writing such an amazing fic. 
4652091 Interestingly enough I've only seen two Luna x AJ fics and neither is complete. Another pairing you might try is Celestia x AJ, of which I've yet to see a fic that isn't clop/mature, not well written, or uses it as a starting ground for them to break up and start seeing other ponies even though at the very least Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy have had a good Celestia ship fic
. I've yet to look into Luna x Pinkie but probably will after I get through what currently exists of this chain.

I absolutely love Maud.
She's a very close second fav to Trixie in my book. So you can be sure I'll do another story with her one day. (Maybe with Trixie.
)
The tough part is that, as you noted in previous chain story, Maud is like a rock, slow to change and pretty difficult to deal with socially, so if I am going to do a story with her it needs to be long, and I don't have time for that until my main series comes to a close. Though, I am pretty happy with how this little cheat worked out in the story to skip into the middle of the relationship, I don't think it works twice. I would really want to be able to take my time and write something long enough to see Maud actually grow into a relationship, and more importantly to have her partner grow to understand how Maud works. That last part is especially important for Maud.
Although this story was written really quickly, that is only because I already had a very solid idea of how I wanted Maud to be, but I never had the time to write a story with her until this prompt basically forced me to. After that it was easy since heck I'd wanted to do this forever.

. Good fanfics take serious thought, time, and effort. They're rarely if ever something you come up with on the spot. I'm currently working on a rather large fic based off of Fallout Equestria myself and even a couple months in I haven't gotten past the first chapter because I keep making adjustments. I may well not finish it for two years but it'll be worth it in the end 
. Of course I've also never posted any of my own content online and have only recently gotten into the idea of writing fanfics myself (a few months back) so it's a bit nerve racking since I really want it to be good. I'm also wondering if I shouldn't take a break from that for a while and work on a few smaller fics to pace myself. Plus I'm distracted by various other media from fics to movies to games to webcomics, novels, cartoons, and more. In a manner of speaking I have far too many irons in the fire. 
Anyways, take all the time you need, I'm looking forward to seeing what you're able to do with more time and no word limit restrictions. 
I'm in community college and work at a Denny's myself so I can understand how busy schedules can get
