Hmm.

Sorry to say, but... I really felt no emotional response to Creature killing Celestia. It just felt... huh. Creature himself felt very bland, like a bad OC. I could see that you were going for something with him, the loneliness and fear in him and his instinctual falling back on being a monster because he can't trust being anything else, but... I just didn't feel anything. Even Celestia's death did nothing.

The interactions between the two pairings were more interesting. Trixie's extremely overt flirting was funny; she really doesn't make any pretensions here. And yet in the end we see that her feelings run deep. That was sweet.

RariDash, though? That's not a ship I see very often, but I have to admit this story made a good case for it. It wasn't the cliche 'opposites attract', it wasn't them being absolutely perfect for each other, it was just two characters revealing that they were interested, and it felt surprisingly natural to me. I may have to explore that pairing in the future.

4520739 well I hoped you still enjoyed the story in any case. Thank you for the favourite

I did like the sweet interactions between ponies, always nice to write, and I hope you enjoy Raridash, it can be a really good ship if done right :rainbowkiss::raritywink:

The interactions between the pairs and each other is what really sells this story for me.

Celestia/Creature was what I feel to be the less interesting part, but I understand that it was necessary to include due to this being a prequel that is supposed to show how everything got started for the premise of the Fountain story .

Judging by the sequel though, we will not see Creature again. So maybe we'll see more from here on of the pairs being adorable, sad, and funny, without interruption? :raritywink::trixieshiftleft:

this seems to be something we can all agree on :rainbowlaugh:, I guess this is a good thing, as I said I'm moving on from this series (at least for a while) and focusing more on stories with all the romance and comedy stuff which people like. Course you already know what I'm up to Crows :raritywink:

I read this story because it was placed in the 'Twixie' group. I can read that this is a mistake. And poor Celestia. I can not like this, but I won't dislike it either.

4530922 fair enough, at least you took the time to comment.

I was hesitant to put it in the 'twixie' group as the story doesn't revolve round them, but I've read stories with less twixie in the group, what the group needs to do is add a 'Twixie as secondary aspect' folder, that way there's no confusion, but stories can still be added.

I am sorry about Celestia, it was just something that came up when I was planning the first one, then when I felt it needed a prequel to highlight some of the events hinted at in the previous one, I had to stick with. Just know I don't hate Celestia in any way, Luna is still my favourite princess, but Celestia is cool too :trollestia:

Trix, what are you, a perv?

5067944 maybe a little :trixieshiftleft: and certainly when it comes to Twilight :raritywink:

rest in peace trollestia:trollestia:
