EurekaStorm

My name is Eureka and I'm a young unicorn mare from Vanhoover. (The town of Vanhoover, not to be confused with Vanhoover B.C.) My cutie mark is a key and I'm very talented at figuring things out.

Sweet Apple Acres undergoes a mandatory surprise health Inspection.

And fails.

The orchard is now closed for business until Applejack and her family can get everything up to code. However, Applejack begins to lose it, since she is not allowed to buck any trees. Then after doing the math, Big Mac frets over just how many bits the apple family is losing every day the farm is closed.

I don't get why Applejack is so angry. If she keep selling her products when her establishment has failed its health inspection, then she is not only breaking the law but also potentially making ponies ill, i.e. doing something completely dishonest and immoral. :ajbemused:

Way to go, Jackie.

This is a good unique story! I like it!!

It reminds me of another interestingly set story where Sweet Apple Acres is forced to open a liquor bar due to a typo in applying for a barn.
Spoiler isn't really spoiler as I think this is explained in the story description.

Anyway, please continue!!

Actually, the health inspector is being a bit of a nit pick, and it's also the FIRST time her farm has to be inspected and her integrity has come into question. As she said, they've never had any complaints or made anypony sick before. :ajbemused:

Also, with how stubborn and prideful AJ is, you don't think she would react this way? If somepony randomly ame to her farm, said they HAD to look at everything, then basically told her it wasn't good enough because it was a little dirty? It's a FARM. :facehoof:

[Again, the health inspector is using a checklist mainly meant for restaurants. And adding new codes as she goes along. So, there's almost no way for AJ to pass, it's a catch-22. That's why this a comedy story.] :ajsmug:

4217476 Good point, though that kind of makes the inspector a very shallow villain...

4217540 She's a health inspector!

Have you ever heard of a more shallow villain in real life??

Also, I got this idea from how the health inspector Hugo harasses Bob on Bob's Burgers.

Ah. Okay.

I have met shallow people, but they don't make for particularly engaging characters in fiction, or at least that's what I think.

Baked Bads Incident. Though to be honest, that was due to labor issues. :ajbemused:

...specifically AJ being nearly deaf and more than half insane from sleep deprivation at the time.

Exactly. Labor issues.

Thanks for linking that! I enjoyed the story!

Obviously, mine is going in a far different direction...
mwahaha! :rainbowlaugh:

You could realistically say that example was Pinkie's fault really; AJ messed up the recipe, but Pinkie baked and served them without paying any attention.
