Talon , an immortal being of great power is betrayed by a close friend, sent into a void with little hope of escape. He meets an Elder god, and is informed of his new godhood, what is a fledgling god of light to do with an eternity at his disposal. One thing's for sure, he's not just going to sit around. It's time to prepare his new realm of Equestria for the dark times to come, and what better way than with some 'small' tests of his own. Maybe even he'll learn a thing or two.

(despite what this sounds like, this isn't supposed to be a comedy it should have some humor, but no more than necessary)

That's actually a pretty good match for what I was envisioning while writing that chapter.

I saw the title of the story and I'll say this:

What does this have to do with MLP: FiM? As a potential reader, I can't tell except for the main character tagged in the story. Who is Talon? Is he a pony? What does this have to do with gods? Am I still on the right website?

There are all questions I ask as I read the story description. The answers are probably inside the story, but the fact that I can't make the connection between the show and this story turns me off from reading it greatly. You need to state what this story has in common with the show. There is nothing in the description that has anything to do with the Mane 6, Twilight or ponies in general.

(':facehoof:'); *Sigh* Alright look, I can understand where you come from, really, but this story is something people will have to actually read in order to understand. Reading only the summary then commenting will not help the reader learn anything about the characters portrayed within.

I find it useful in this circumstance to introduce Talon as a character without any real information about himself early on, then as the story progresses, you'll learn more about him and the characters around him. Skipping the prologue is also not a good idea, mostly because it actually gets the ball rolling for the rest of the story itself, by giving the reader a glimpse of just how powerful Talon is (Hence the term GOD). This story doesn't primarily revolve around ponies for the first few chapters. It'll be mostly about Talon and his efforts to shape the world that he's responsible for and act as a guide to a certain pony princess. As for trying to figure out whether Talon is a pony or a man, he's neither, he is a god, they aren't bound by the limitation of being a single species.

Now, I'm also letting you all know now that, this is an Alternate Universe as such things widely regarded as canon will have little to no impact on the story itself, at the moment at least. I also try not to tag a story a certain way without a good reason. The characters I have tagged now are the characters that have the biggest impact on the story as a whole.

I'm also kind of writing this by the seat of my pants so... yeah. I really don't have this planned out as much as it probably should have been.(':twilightsheepish:');
