You see, I've never actually seen the original Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. I saw the second version put on television (warning: Twilight Zone episode spoiler ahead) where the gremlin (after getting shot at) jumps over to grab the guy, realizes the the plane is descending and jumps off.

My recollection of that combined with Eclipsed Blade's comment about the wing sparked the inspiration for my little allusion that followed. (I wonder if there's such a thing as a parodic allusion? And if my little allusion would qualify as one? And yes, I too see what I did there twice. Just as I know I said often - frequently only once! :P)
