MaudPie21

Sure.

E

Visiting her sister was nice. A degree in rock science was within her grasp. There was just one last thing nagging at her. She had a mission to complete. It was that time of the month again. Time to pay a visit to the House of Enchanted Comics.

This idea suddenly came to me, and I just had a super burst of inspiration. I'm a big fan of classic 1960's Marvel comics, so this was a joy to write for me personally. Not only that, but I adore Maud, which should be fairly obvious.

I'm assuming there are plenty of other fics with a superhero named Iron Mare (I didn't check) but I decided to stick with the name anyway. It just fit too perfectly. I was considering changing it to Super Maud but I just couldn't get over Iron Mare. Hope somepony out there enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Damn you must really like Maud.

4094830 :pinkiehappy::heart: Indeed I do.

That Prussian helmet. :rainbowlaugh:

I agree. Maud is freakin' awesome :rainbowkiss::heart:

She... She is a perfect Iron Mare.

After reading this, it suddenly makes sense that she's a super hero. I mean, how else is she supposed to be stronger than Big Mac?

And let it be known I'm writing my own Iron Mare fic, but it's a more straightforward crossover then this....

BUT THIS IS AWESOME ANYWAYS

Maud in this fic seems less of a classic Iron Man and more of a geomancer, like Terra from "Teen Titans." But considering her personality, she would have made an excellent Raven as well.

Were the Power Ponies in this fic the actual fictional characters, or were they the Mane 6 back enjoying another adventure?

Who doesn't love Maud? She's great!

4098711 I'm glad you brought that up! I had originally intended on a scene that described how these Power Ponies were in fact the "actual" heroes and not the Mane 6 revisiting, but I instead decided on an ambiguous approach, hence the description of Zap's coat and mane. It could be either. :duck:

DUDE!
That was awesome.

You got my dialogue down PERM-fectly! MAHAHAHAHAHA-hee-hee!

:pinkiegasp: Wow. You just made Maud even more epic than she already is... SO AWESOME! :rainbowkiss:

Maud is perfect for this role. Good job getting her and the Mane-iac right.

4101641 Thank you. After writing this I have a new-found appreciation for the Mane-iac. :derpytongue2:

4101641 Heeeeeyy...don't you have a brother named Final?

4101703 No you're thinking of my cousin Final. My brother's name is Blank Canvas. :trollestia:

4101867 I would think you were just three brothers. You being the middle, Blank being the youngest.

Going off my old notes from Uni etc, some really nice shockwave abilities.

Pity about having to give her a thermal problem when using rocks, given most rocks are hellishly more tough, resiliant, some stronger, and a lot lighter than steel.

Keep an eye out as the new cast bulk sapphire and bulk CVD diamond sheets etc start getting more widespread.

At this rate, what I consider slightly heorically powered wouldnt even be allowed in the comics due to being completely over the top. Then again, look at Batman. Ultimate hero, because he has no powers whatsoever. :moustache:

This was great but... why didn't the comic self-returned like Spike's did? Why did Maud have to go to the shop personally to return it?

This is awesome! It's fun to see Maud of all ponies have this kind of hobby!

That's a good question. Since that implies the enchanted comics are rented rather than bought.

Iron Mare?
More like "can't stop The Rock"
