By popular request, this story is the continuation of Chapter 4 of Coming to Grips, featuring Tyro's adventures in Equestria.

He's arrived, but now what? Will he have to go back to Earth? Even if he can stay, how will he find his place in Ponyville—if he ever does? The locals seem friendly enough, but he quickly becomes worried that he might overstay his welcome.

All aboard the shipping train!

327274 I wouldn't count on that. You know how I am with plot twists, after all. Just about anything might come of this. Of course, I could be just saying that to make you expect a plot twist when there isn't one. I am not above such tactics.

In any case, you'll see soon enough.

Yeah, I know. Tyro's kinda awesome that way. Was the thunder too much, though? I was a little worried about overdoing the dramatic entrance.

Also, edit notice: Tyro has a dark red coat, not cream, and a dull black mane. I figured it would make him a little more imposing, and add a visual cue that better shows his true origin as a human.

Pretty good. I'm liking Tyro's character. Though the words "confound these trees" kept bugging me. It just doesn't seem like something Rainbow Dash would say you know? Just what I think but its your fic so whatever.

331407 Thanks for pointing that out; looks like I wasn't paying enough attention.

Confound these ponies, they make me inconsistant. :trollestia:

cutie mark crusader spies?

this can't go wrong:ajbemused:

331648 I know what you mean. Next chapter is bad news, everypony.

Fluttershy chews him out viciously.

Her*

keep up the good work:twilightsmile:

334498 Thanks, my mistake.

I hope I never meet Tyro. He would attempt to kill me. He would win.

In the reports you put SWEETIE PIE. Instead of SWEETIEBELLE. :P :unsuresweetie::derpytongue2:

Lol Trollestia moment!! :trollestia::trollestia::trollestia::trollestia::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::yay:

337939 :trollestia: Thanks, I do my best.

337906 Thanks for the correction. :facehoof:

337965 You're so silly. No sound effect. Not this time.

Okay, listen, I said this would be a happy ending, I know. I'm sorry about that. We really ave two ways we can go from here. We can have the happy ending I promised everypony before. I've written it and everything. Everything turns out to be okay.

But then, there is a darker direction, and by that I mean applying the Dark tag. In that version, things are not so convenient for our heroes. That version would still have a happy ending, in the end, but that could only happen after... terrible things. However, the happy ending would of course then be all the more satisfying.

So, you tell me: What will Twilight find when she wakes? Will it be the peace she so desires, or will it be a Nightmare?

Should I end it as I planned, or make the story go on?

Okay, I know I said it was going to be dark and all, but then I realized something. The material I was working with just didn't quite fit with the existing story. I could put it to better use as another story in itself, and have it make a lot more sense, too.

Aw, no dark:applecry:

just kidding it's fine.

Dis gunna be good

Blood and darkness, huh?

I have not yet released a fic I'm writing (MLP:FIM, as well) that has an oc main character who has a similar color scheme, but reversed; black coat with a crimson and burgundy mane, and it stands for a similar purpose; both are linked to humans.

Just shows that lots of people think alike.

In any event, I like this so far, and it's well set up, I'll keep moving through the series, and I'll give you a star rating then.

Tyro's color scheme, while admittedly appropriate, does not primarily stem from his human origins. His dark coloration is mostly for other reasons that get explained later.

I see. Well, I'll keep reading then. :trollestia:
