Aw, well that sure left a pang in my heart. Quite a lot of detailing in her misery, and Bubbles was the first thing to come into mind as I read this. Especially when the rocks came into play. Things like this can make you sit back and think.

Quite wonderful for a short and somewhat horrific (in a sense) story.

The references to the Rainbow story. omg This story was cute and sad, poor Derpy. After The putting your hoof show, I can really see the ponies acting like that sadly. Nice story.
