These pony's view each other as family, and would do little to hurt each other voluntarily. and would go to great lengths to save each other.
Though Honestly Spike should have let Nurse Redheart into the cell with Tender heart, and let the others see the effects of the infection and how it drives pony's to kill and eat each other.
