I'm sure everybody remembers how the CMC were harshly shunned by the whole town to such an extent that it took a heartfelt apology letter to earn their forgiveness. This story is gonna show would might have happened during the entire "apology letter" sequence, which not only has the CMC's friends and family members apologizing for how harsh their reactions were upon finding out that they were Gabby Gums, but also for their hypocrisy which was never fully addressed in the episode.

The CMC are so lucky that they got a hug from Fluttershy. I wish we could be in their position.
Twilight was truely the only one who wasn't a hypocrite since she was against Gabby Gums from the start. Still doesn't excuse poutting up a forcefield though.
That's just like Applejack to not admit to her problems right away. She seems to suffer the most from Aseop Amenisa.

Actually, the force field thing puzzled me. I have to wonder if it wasn't just the Crusaders she was keeping out, what if she was keeping out all of Ponyville?
That article portrayed her as an aristocratic snob who was looking down on the commoner town she lives in. We all know that's not true, but what if Ponyville believed it? The citizens of Ponyville tend to have their collective IQs drop whenever the plot calls for it, so what if a bunch of ponies actually believed that article? This after Twilight has bent over backwards to win the towns respect, all that shredded in an instant.
Everyone was embarrassed, but Twilight got the most viciously scathing article

-removed the ENTIRE scene at Sugarcube Corner with Rainbow Dash's friends bragging about their contributions to Mare-Do-Well; due to the hypocrisy on their part while trying to get their point across to Rainbow Dash, even if their actions may still be considered questionable, this was my number one reason to make this edit
-removed Granny Smith whacking Rainbow Dash with her purse to tone down the mean-spiritedness of the situation
-muted the "Lame" line after Rainbow Dash mows the lawn for the same reason mentioned above
Instead of separating characters into separate chapters, how about you combined into one.

It was not the CMC I was mad at, I was mad at those hypocrites that bashed them, yelled at them, ignored them, or told them to go away.
I know gossip is wrong, but that is no excuse for them to treat them like that, I was reading another fic where they committed suicide because of those bullies.
3551537 Yeah, that was kinda the point of this fanfiction, to get the CMC's peers to realize how harsh they were in shunning them. Plus, at least Rarity had the decency to straight out confront her little sister rather than shunning her, even if it was before the CMC were shunned by the town. Great strength of character on Rarity's part, in my opinion.

Great job, though I think spike needs to apologise to the CMC for yelling bitterly at them as well as forgiving them, And it would be heartwarming if Big Mac proves to the CMC that he really is sorry with applejack for shouting at them to go away rather than confronting them as much as rarity has done to sweetie belle and that he vows with applejack never to abandon either their little sister or her two friends ever again belle,
in fact we need to persuade the hub network to make and apology video for the ponyville confidential by making the ponies apologise to the CMC.
The CMC should also prove that diamond tiara was blackmailing them all long so that all of ponyville including the CMC harshly shuns her even worse than how ponyville did so on the CMC and even longer than how long they did it to them,
I also think that Granny Smith would so ground and scold Big Mac and AJ 
for abandoning their little sister and her friends
