Well since Twilight burned her bridges with spike by accident, I can guess that she wont mind much that a dragon has taken him under her wing.

Or she will be stupid Twilight(common fannon conception born from needing the antagonist to be Twilight and needing for her to actually be evil, so they change her entire personality to fit the roll.) and try and take spike back while killing his new mother.

Lol i got to share everyone's "aww" for a moment that Spike won't be hooking up with her (unless it is cool with dragons lol). But even so I am happy to come home from class and see a update to one of my fav stories. I trust your story telling, you haven't let me down yet and I dont think you will. Man I love this story, just read it again for like the third time. I want to watch Greenfire grow and see what kind of dragon he becomes. I am also dying to see how the elements react to the fact "Spike" is gone. Knowing them they will blame her and say she did something to "Spike" to make him want to leave them instead of looking at themselves. Now onto the thin everyone commented on, I was with everyone hoping they would hook up after she made Greenfire into a dragon. I can only see two ways this going. She will ether change herself and become his mate (by the way she said she will give him everything sounded funny.) Or he will just hook up with a dragonness (which it will be funny to see Greenfire learning how to attract the attention of a female... Dragon style lol.

So "Blaze" has basically adopted Spike, now known as 'Greenfire' as her own son. That's truly a heartbreaking and a heartwarming thing at the same time. It's heartbreaking because basically Spike has just cut all connections to ponies forever. I have to wonder how the ponies will react when 'Greenfire' returns to Ponyville, if he doesn't leave with her for the Badlands first. But the more heartwarming moment is that Spike has finally found love and affection in a motherly way, and not from miss OCD unicorn that possibly cannot clean her own house.

And I have to say, that is certainly an interesting way to deal with a dragon egg. It can be turned to stone if it isn't hatched, but the dragoness can give even a dead egg life. Very interesting.

5306513 uhhhhhh I'm guessing she wanted him as a "partner" or "mate" per say but he didn't want to because he was just a dragon full of greed and to weak to protect or even fight her. So he asked her for death instead and she was about to deliver it but he told her if only he was stronger and not pony raised he could be stronger and not feral. So she decided to baptize him in fire to give him a second chance at life and raise him to be stronger and fill the void in her life since her egg-son died. I think

Me like what I read here! You don't see many Spike stories that let him learn about the dragons in a good way, there are only about 4 that I have read that have done that.

i think twilight will realize what she did was wrong and try to find spike. but the zecora comes and tells her and her friends whatshe did for spike and puts the pices together that spike was just trying is best to fit in with out losing their friendship. the the princess of the sun comes worried about spike.then the main six tells her what had happened over the last few days, and she gets pissed at them big time. she then tells them why spike was giving to twilight in the first place spike was to prove that dragons and ponies could be friends and she wanted a child to call her own.... if you want to use that... if not cool. now twilight her friends have now put everypony in danger and she tells them than she is no longer friends have lost the love and respect of her teacher and second mother twilight and her friends go to find spike to make sure they dont lose a great friend but when they find him it maybe to late. so what do you think.if you want to use it go ahead! i look forward ot the next chapter.

It’s a great story, don’t get me wrong. But I can’t imagine having to write something so sad. It’d be torture for me. I hate seeing characters completely change who they are with a snap of a finger.
