I like the Idea of both. They'd fit well together and I agree with Bjenk4, they would help each other learn and grow in knowledge. Also I can see a good amount of comedy from Twilight trying to learn handmade magic and having a few accidents along the way.
and the chance for Twilight Zecora banter and teasing is just to juicy to leave alone. I say go for it.
One wonders what line our hero here won't cross. Can't wait for more.

Mystogan, really? Have you been watching so much Fairy tail that that name just stuck to your head? I don't know, it just feels wrong using another fantasy name from other stories or movies.

You have to think from a ruler's point of view. Should the race become aware of such an ability, that very same race could use it to cause trouble for their kingdom and others. Especially with a race that has created something called 'handmade magic' through alchemy. Which means that they have both physical and magical strength along with their berserk state.
