To a degree, yes. But he doesn't take ALL their magic. which is why their marks only fade slightly almost transparent, not completely disappear. They will regain their marks/magic fully over time.

Well, HE won't explode. or rather, it won't kill him, but the discharge will cause him pain. And the blast could vary in size and power depending on when it chooses to release.
Hmm, an interesting premise. A magic eater without control of his power in a world built on magic. Did you take inspiration from Fairy Tail's Acnologia, by chance?
Regardless, I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Hmm, I certainly don't remember the big bad dragon doing such things. But the concept of sin eaters and magic eaters are so underused. And with both, he has a double whammy. He consumes too much evil, he is at high risk of becoming just that. And if he can eat as much magic as he wants, but the more he eats, the bigger the discharge will be. So he is literally a walking time bomb. Could be a few days, or even a few months. Not only is it times sensitive, if he mixes the wrong kind of magic together, it becomes like an ethernano explosion. ANd since you spoke of fairy tail, I take it you know what ethernano is. A combination of all kinds of magic. While it will cause pain in the build up, he himself is the catalyst. So it won't kill him, but everything else around him will be completely destroyed. And he has to cover his mouth until he can gain control of of the consumption state. I actually got inspiration from that with Raziel from Soulreaver. While he covers his mouth with a shroud simply because he is missing his lower jaw, he also lowers it to eat souls.

Ah, I see. I'm not all that familiar with the Soul Reaver series, but the Wikia is easy enough to follow.
As for Acnologia, Dragon Slayers in Fairy Tail gain and hone their power by eating whatever element they are associated with; Natsu and fire or Gajeel and metal, for instance. Acnologia's "element" was magic and, in a society whose foundation is completely built upon magic, is the reason he was unstoppable.

Aaah, I see what you mean now. Yes, I am well of aware of a dragon slayer's ability, I must not be that far in the series to know that he was able to eat ALL magic. But yes, he can eat all types of magic, but gains now power up/abilities from it. All he has is that and his martial arts to protect himself with and that sole ability to feed on magic and evil, or sin rather.
Aku has to find a way to not take magic or evil without his face mask cause he can't be hiding his face all the time.

I was half asleep when writing this one. Sorry. And you know how Rarity is. She is a fickle mare. And being alone with him made her think that he was going to prey on her like all uppity mares do.
You know, I stead of pairing him with one or more of the mane six, why not try for the others like Octavia, ditzy (aka. Derpy), bon bon, etc. Would make for an interesting twist for him to have. Just a thought due to reading your AN at the bottom of the chapter
