I wonder how Pinkie would fare trying to cheer up Mikasa. That girl is way too gloomy for her own good.
Next chapter is going to awesome
You might want to fix this
sees this...you my sir are a god(kneels down),I am unworthy to be in your presence. and have this 10/10,you diserve it.
Why is it that I just looked at the story title, didn't click on it, just looked at it, and heard the theme song blaring in the corner's of my mind. Anyway, I'm sold. Definitely reading.
...why do i get the feeling the crying scene should of been looked at for longer because it may seem simple but all the little things like how she checks to see if his heart is beating then just starts jring from the joy of it...anyway ramble ramble
Two things.
1.
Might want to fix that.
2.
Is that a Scott Pilgrim vs the World reference or just coincidence?
I will sincere, seems like the humans are too trusting of the aliens, they just seem to speak the same language without any problem. You're also making the ponies into the invicible heroes, while aparently building Jean/FS shipping. Plus it seems so far that the ponies being there is more of a hindrance than anything. They haven´t changed a single event, seem way to well adjusted to the horrible enviroment that way outclases their worlds threats. After all, eveything is playing the same.
In the end it feels like "ponies are here, they are awesome, but they are not changing anything". I mean, the human barely trust each other and now they are supposed to trust the talking alient that use magic? They might even suspect them being behind the titans attack.
3140186 While this is all very true, you're forgetting some key points that you might want to consider.
1) The ponies don't really know much of what is going on, and really aren't THAT much more powerful than the soldiers in their 3D Manuever Gear. Due to the limited length of time they've spent there, the minimal opportunity to have a major impact, and their limited resources, I'd say the ponies are making a realistic impact on events all things considered.
2) The situation is this: trust the ponies to watch their backs while in a situation where its do or die, or mistrust them, argue about it, and probably die because of it. RD showed they're capable of fighting, and there were several examples of this as they were escaping beyond just RD. They've shown human-level intellect. If YOU are in a hopeless battle situation and help arrives in the form of alien magical ponies, would YOUR first instinct be to turn away that help, even if you probably wouldn't trust them normally? I certainly know MY reaction would be to let them help, and sort the rest out later.
3) The ponies adapting to the Titan setting quickly. Well, they COULD be a bit more hesitant with the killing, but as it stands, they are ALSO in a do or die situation now. The TItans are HUGE threats both to their new friends, and to eachother. If they DON'T take the titans down, everyone dies. They've already SEEN several humans die before even arriving, and after arriving its only gotten worse. By the time the ponies engage the titans directly, its perfectly understandable that they've come to accept that they NEED to kill these things, especially after seeing that they freaking REGENERATE! That's the point where most people would go "well crap, that doesn't leave me with a whole lot of options". Their only real option at that point IS to kill them, and a lot is on the line, so they go through with it. Now, Twilight I can see handling it, with maybe a freakout later (but the Titans are so far from normal living creatures its debatable). Rarity had a freakout, and couldn't go through with it the first time (probably from a mixture of not wanting to kill, and fear of the Titans themselves), and because of that one of their new human friends almost died. That gave her the resolve to go through with the killing blow, even if she's not necessarily entirely comfortable with it yet. All things considered, I'd say their reactions have been fairly logical so far.
4) As for the pony "invincibility", well, consider that they DO have experience fighting monsters (taking on Manticores, Hydras, Dragons, Discord (an outright god in his own right), Sombra, Nightmare Moon, and so on), so its not like they're some rookies when it comes to a dangerous situation. Shingeki no Kyojin amps it up a bit to a higher level of danger, and the abilities of the ponies has been amped DOWN, as I've said before, so really they're not that impressive. The ponies ARE however naturally more capable than humans, just by their very phisiology. Even the weakest of ponies is still going to be physically stronger than the average human. Given the proper gear and a BIT of training, RD (a highly trained athlete), AJ (the physically strongest character in the group and a hard working farm girl), and Twi (an alicorn, even if she IS weakened) can all certainly fight on the scale of the stronger members of the main characters at this point. So its not that they're invicible, so much as already capable of handling themselves enough to not be helpless. Now, if the Mane 6 weren't weakened and/or had the Elements, THEN they'd be invicible.
And I know your comment is old, but I couldn't let this go without responding to it. I felt you weren't being entirely fair to the story. I apologize for my mini-rant there.
How could you say that they could have training like that ponies havent seen war for a millennium and their villains are plushies compared to the titans. Did you see any war or death or famine or extreme gore in equestria. the closest to evil they got was just a mixed up world. eren and them have to face things that would make any of the villains of mlp shit so hard they would need a carpenter to fix the floor and yet the ponies dont react to the war so strongly I mean didnt rainbow just see people get eaten alive and smashed into the ground and walls. If they have ever seen gore that hardcore when facing their evils id love for you to show me
Alright, I'm starting to agree with that dude from a few chapters ago. This is pretty much the same storyline from the show, but with the Ponies along for the ride with them being at least a bit out of character considering that their nation has been at peace for at least several hundred years suddenly leaping into killing other beings, even if they themselves are in a kill-or-be-killed situation. I'm going to jump ahead a few chapters and see if this deviates at all.
I do have to agree that this is basically a novelization of the anime with the added plus of ponies. So far nothing's changed.
But on the other hoof, you have a good writing style, it's got ponies, and it's got Shingeki no Kyojin. For that, I shall continue on.
Aw, and it was so adorable when Jean and Fluttershy hugged.
3250332 Think of the fights in their own universe as practice. Im gonna give you an example here. Lets say you're training to be a boxer, hitting punching bags and various other things. When you fight your first real opponent, it will be nothing like hitting the punching bag, but you still learned how to hit, and hit hard.
I'm sorry, dude, but the way you're rephrasing some of the quotes make them lose all of their gravitas.
