Inkscape is a unicorn from Canterlot. She writes for a living, and usually enjoys her work, but the publishers are really laying it on hard, asking her to change her writing style to reach a wider market. With a little help from her agent, Critical Eye, she manages to get some time away in Ponyville to re-find her inspiration and rid herself of the worst case of writer's block she's ever experienced. However, she may have stumbled into more than she bargained for, when she ends up lodging in the spare room of Princess Twilight's library. She is quickly noticed by Twilight's friends, and given a traditional Pinkie Pie Welcome.
But the summer grows warm, even at night, the heat is sweltering, as if the sun never sets. Twilight, ever studious, hits the books, and discovers an ancient magic, older than the Princess Sisters themselves, that now threatens to overthrow the Equestrian Empire. Slowly rooting itself in the Equestrian leader, Celestia finds herself in danger.
The Mane Six leap into action, but could a normal unicorn writer do anything to help her new friends, or will she just have to sit on the sidelines and be forced to watch the world burn?

As the resident drama queen of Ponyville, Rarity is not one to let her actions speak louder than words. But when words fail her, she has to rely on her mirror for advice.

Enter the life of Portal Jet, a unicorn who was sent to a school that was more prison than school. Portal's life has been recently turned upside down by his own actions and now he has to get to El Ponidor as soon as he possibly can. Unfortunately, because he starts out in the frozen woods surrounding Vanhoover, he has to cross the entirety of Equestria.

Watch as he delves into the catacombs of guilt and madness as he crosses the wide wide land of Equestria with the police getting hotter and hotter on his trail. Will he make it, or will he be shot down in a mad dash for freedom.

Twilight's just received her official government escort license, which allows her to legally take on passengers during a teleport. Unfortunately, the fee was hideously expensive -- enough to completely wipe out all her spare bits. And there's a major purchase coming up which she refuses to put off. So what better way to raise the money than by giving her freshly-approved skill a workout? After all, it's winter, it's cold, ponies will get home all the faster, and since Twilight knows what 'escort' means, so will everypony else.

It's probably best not to bet on that last part.

The state of Nocturne, that of the Lunar Ponies, was dissolved over four hundred years before the reign of Discord began, and quickly assimilated into Equestria proper.

Fast forward two thousand, five hundred years, and the unexpected happens: the Solar Princesses have died of old age, an unprecedented event that throws Equestria into chaos. In the span of a generation, old hatreds reignite, and for a species that is just reaching out towards the stars, it may prove to be a fatal conflict.

The new state of Nocturne is no exception. Divided by ancient ruling houses, and low on resources and moral, they can only watch in envy as the emerging Unicorn, Earth Pony, and Pegasi factions leave the nearly barren surface of Equis for the other planets in their system.

What they need is a victory, a leader, and a cause to rally them. Captain Astral Mist hopes to provide them with all of these, if she survives the coming battles.

And as the ponies clash over petty hatreds, how will the remaining ancients, beings as long-lived as the now-deceased Solar Princesses, react to the descent of their former charges?

Skyfire is declaired a triator by the enclave for refusing to kill a group of foals hidding in a ruin which he had been sent to clear with his squad. Only he had returned and thus lead to him being classed as a traitor. After escaping his death by his comrades he hides inside a cave that is half collapsed. Still in his hellfire armour, he stays there for a couple of days. However this caves secret shall shortly be revealed to him.
