Somebody animated a scene from The Weed. THIS GUY deserves a tremendous amount of thanks for what was sure to be a huge effort.

I am flattered, and to be honest, I almost cried. There's no shame in admitting that. Now, if you will excuse me, I need to collect myself.

Who can remember the Pie family's ancestral family name? It was first referenced in The Weed.

This is kinda important, because of something I'm planning. You see, that ancestral name is about to come back into play, and if people can't remember what it is, they won't realise what is going on when an event happens. It's going to be a big event, too, fraught with meaning.

Any suggestions? Advice? 'Cause otherwise, I'm probably going to use the same cover art from The Weed, which I don't want to do, but there is only so many pictures of poison joke.

The previous chapters did a lot of telegraphing. The fumaroles, the steam vents, the stench of rotten eggs, the mention that the Crack of Doom was a geyser that went off regularly; it all led up to this. If you go back and look at the trail of clues left behind, you'll see how it all led up to this. The science is there, so to speak. This wasn't just some random event, this has been planned for a while.

I've been stuck on the current chapter. I have, really. See, I don't want the story being dark. I really, really don't. But something real bad is supposed to happen in the upcoming chapter. The first go at an outline was definitely dark. So... I scrapped it. About 3k words were tossed aside, ditched.
