My home internet is dead. I am now relying entirely on my phone's signal to connect to the web, and my area has appallingly bad reception. Half the time I can't connect at all, the other half it takes five minutes to load each page.

This is really bad from the viewpoint of writing, since I am not only being forced to use the mobile site to write my stories, but also limited in the time where I get to do that at all.

Been writing Chapter Four even though mobile FimFic is a pain to use, and I am pleased to say that it's most of the way done now. The way things are going, the chapter will be finished by the time my PC is back from android hell. It'd be even closer to finished if I wasn't writing on a phone, but what can you do?

This has been an exceptionally awful week for me in terms of my ability to write. I have been inundated with work, both homework and catching up on missed lessons due to my hospital appointments taking place at the same time as half my lessons on both occasions, and as a result my free time has been but a shadow of its former self.

Just wanted to let you know that the first codex chapter is almost finished and will be ready for upload sometime this weekend. My codex chapter on changeling history needed another think through, so instead you'll be getting one on changeling culture.

The chapter will cover the four castes of changeling (Drone, Shifter, Elite and Royal) along with some basic background on the changelings.

The origins codex piece ended up being a lot more in-depth than I had thought it would be, so that's still in progress.

Right now its word count is at about 1.5k, but in terms of changeling history I'm only half way through so it'll probably be a 3k-ish word chapter when it's done.

Went into hospital today to have a surgical exposure done on my tooth, an operation for which I had to be put under anaesthetic. I spent most of the day sleeping off said anaesthetic and I'm still a bit out of sorts even now: it's only been in the last hour or so that I've felt with it enough to write, and my cold/flu/satanic curse has only gotten worse since I last posted, so progress has been incredibly slow.

With writing a new chapter for Collapse, Collide every week I just don't have the time to write enough of Guilty Hornet by the deadline - well, technically I do, but if I get even the slightest bit stuck on either Collapse or Hornet, the result is that one or both fics end up updating late.

Something I thought might be nice to do alongside the fortnightly main chapters was codex-like mini-chapters. There's a lot about the world I'm creating here - especially the Changelings - that would feel awkward explaining via Chrysalis herself, but is different or expanded enough from the show canon that without any in-depth info things might get confusing, so I thought this might be something I could do to remedy this.
