Something I thought might be nice to do alongside the fortnightly main chapters was codex-like mini-chapters. There's a lot about the world I'm creating here - especially the Changelings - that would feel awkward explaining via Chrysalis herself, but is different or expanded enough from the show canon that without any in-depth info things might get confusing, so I thought this might be something I could do to remedy this.
These would be written as if they were pages taken from in-universe books, so as to keep the immersion of the story, and would likely be much shorter than actual chapters. Some ideas I had were: Equestrian military structure, Changeling society, Changeling anatomy, the history of Equestria's relationship with the Changelings, general information on Canterlot's layout, etc.
To be clear, these would not, in any way, replace the main chapters - instead, they'd be released periodically in the otherwise chapter-less weeks in between main updates.
If you want to comment, I'd love to hear your view on this idea, if not, I'll just write them anyway and see what response I get when you read them.
