A mother will do a lot for her child, even give them up if it meant them having a safer life growing up, despite the obvious pain that comes for the parent.

That pain is something Queen Chrysalis has gone through for eighteen years, but now the time is upon them, and she wants her daughter back. Even if that means invading Canterlot during a royal wedding.

Twilight's made several mistakes over the course of her life, but each was, more or less, minor. Even turning the population of Ponyville into a mob over her childhood doll was corrected easily and forgiven quickly. But when she ignored all of her teachings and left her friends to search for the Crystal Heart alone, she made a mistake that would cost her the life she cherished. PPS: I need to do a full re-work of the concept in light of re-reads. Twilight's section turned out fine, but I ended up hating Luna's section and her story was integral to Twilight's. I'm also working on something else right now, so I may not have the chance to return. I'm sorry guys, but for now I'll be walking away from this one.

It was all going relatively well. For the past few weeks nothing had gone horribly wrong for once. The only major thing that happened was Twilight leaving to go to the Crystal Empire for some princess-y thing, so he was to have a week off from her incessant asking about the human race.

When she got back, spewing bullshit about knowing everything about humans however, he just... snapped.

But then everything changed when an alien named Discord destroyed the world and exterminated the human race. His rampage changed the landscape and drove all of human kind into extinction. It wasn't until another alien race know as Alicorns stopped Discord and made the changed and crippled world their home and renaming it. They created a race of intelligent creatures called ponies as well as many other different races to populate and sustain the world and their magic kept balance in check with the rising and setting of the sun and moon. But as for the human race only five survived and only because of their powers. Two vampires, a werewolf, a poltergeist, and a zombie. They have taken to staying together and keeping their existence a secret from this new dominant race. So for many years they lay in hiding, waiting for their chance to come out of hiding and try to find new and better lives for themselves. Finally that day has come for them to prove themselves as good beings and not monsters. And they will start by saving the city of Canterlot from the changeling attack.

Lucas MacArthur was your typical aristocrat. Second son of the family, he grew up with all the privileges that came with wealth, but none of the responsibility or expectations. He busied himself with books, theater, food, and the pleasurable company of the fairer sex, his natural charm and his skill with a sabre his only talents to speak of.

That was before he died.

My name is Eric, Eric James Carlson if you want to be formal and this is my story of how I got sent to Equestria by the Eris, the greek God of Chaos because Discord presented her with a game but i find out that Equestria isn't the land of sunshine and puppy dogs that it is on the TV show. Now i have to figure out what I'm gonna do while I'm here and stuck in the middle of a three-sided war. Admittedly I took a few ideas from Rust and Blackwing's Chess Game of the Gods world in that outside of Equestria sucks, the gods who like to mess around with mortals and a few of the weapons used but it is a different universe. Picture isn't mine but it matches pretty well what is in my head. This is my first fanfic and I know my grammer probably isn't the best but I'm not a professional writer so be gentle. Will add characters as they appear.

For Hunter Cunningham, life was simple and filled with as many surprises as an empty box. He played video games in his small but comfortable apartment, paid for by the wealth his parents gave him, read books, chatted with friends on Facebook or Steam, but not much else.
