The Nightmare Forces are looking for a new queen and so try to conquer Equestria once again.
But they're desperate and would accept any pony as their new leader ... Any Pony

Danny Fenton was a normal boy, but when his DNA is fused with ectoplasm, he is turned into a half boy/half ghost hybrid. What does he have to thank for that? The Ghost Portal his ghost-busting parents had created, which they had originally deemed a failure.

Danny had kept his secret for a little while from everyone except his best friends, Tucker Foley, a tech-nerd with a passion for meat, and Samantha Manson, a gothic girl who happens to be a hardcore vegetarian. He's been keeping the world safe since from ghosts hell-bent on wreaking havoc on the world under the alias of "Danny Phantom".

He's had his share of fights, but for the most part, life was turning out...alright, albeit repetitive.

However, one day, the Ghost Portal malfunctions, and instead of bringing them into the Ghost World, Danny, along with his two best friends, are transported into the distant land of Equestria with seemingly no way out.

Will Danny, Sam, and Tucker find a way to get back home? Or will they be stuck in Equestria forever?

Equestria is growing, and magical savant Twilight Sparkle is disgusted by the crime and corruption this change has brought. Her life is changed forever when she discovers the Death Note, a notebook with inexplicable and deadly powers. She uses this book to pass judgement on those she deems unworthy of life, aiming to create a perfect world free of crime. But when the two Princesses put their best pony on the case, a mysterious detective known only as L, a psychological game of cat and mouse erupts between the two.

Everypony has at least one event in their life which they would rather forget. It may be a cause of humiliation, shock or dismay for all those involved, but such times allow a formative experience which helps us grow into the ponies we've become today. That may be so because we discover something new within ourselves, or because we've had that one, or two, or three but probably one figure to guide us past our mistakes. If they raise the sun too, that's a bonus.

When the whimsicality of the situation is highlighted in verse reminiscent of one Dr Seuss, you too can understand the sheer gravitas of failure. And thus, a young Twilight Sparkle initiates her employment in the Canterlot Archives as an assistant. And Spike learns the true value of slumber.

EDIT: reworked some lines which didn't flow or rhyme well, and fixed tenses in a couple of places. Also, 100 views woohoo!

A group of anonymous ponies kidnap and interrogate Twilight Sparkle. Their goal: to find out the Equestrian government's greatest secret: How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?
