After attending the Dragon Lord Summons, Garble didn't think there was anything more humiliating than losing. Of course, his first order given to him by Dragon Lord Spike proved that wrong.

But that's almost over now. He's nearly back home, and almost finished with hugging every dragon in sight without being able to explain why. But right before he could reach his cave, he notices a certain sea serpent crying. Unfortunately for Garble, sea serpents are part dragon.

And as for Steven Magnet, his sad night is going to get a lot more exciting with a new guest...

Garble couldn't believe it. That... namby-pamby pony lover was Dragon Lord. And he had been so close...

Dragon Lord Spike's order didn't make things any better.

Seriously, who actually hugs another dragon? It's just... wrong.

And he had to hug all of them.

There was no way for this day to be any worse.

Or so Garble thought.

It's almost Halloween, and the internet is lit up with people claiming to be turning into ponies. I'm not terribly concerned, though I'd like to smack the jerk who somehow infected every computer in the world with a virus that changed the calendars to gibberish.
It's not like it really matters to me. The economy still sucks. I still have to go to work all the same. I still have a fiance on the other side of the world and not enough funds for a place of our own. It's probably just a big viral publicity stunt anyway.

Scratch that, I'm apparently Spike now.

At least I still have thumbs.

And a penis. That's important too.

This story is a sequel to My Little Dashie: Fourth Times the Charm

A man gets transported to Equestria thanks to a particularly strange event.

After doing some pretty dastardly things, he finds himself on the run from the law and ends up in the presence of one of the most unlikeliest characters who gives him a strange deal: find out the true meaning of friendship and the magic therein within one month, or spend the rest of his life imprisoned in limbo.

With his freedom on the line, the man has to learn the value of friendship and what he learns could change his life. For better or worse, only time can tell.

(Originally posted (part 1, at least) to EqD in May 2011. I'd run across a ponified Spike picture and suddenly got an urge to write it. Another story that I tried to make seem like a viable episode)

NOTE: This story takes place in the same continuity as Appleshy, Sparkle Kitten, Trixie's Great and Powerful Revenge, and Tragic Magic. It takes place chronologically after all of those except Tragic Magic. The other stories are not required reading to fully enjoy this story (though feel free to read them anyway!), but there are one or two elements that call back to Sparkle Kitten in particular.
