Over half a year has passed since the changeling attack on Ponyville, and Applejack would like to think things have finally settled down. Much has changed for the young changeling, and all of Equestria in kind. The new district in Ponyville proves that, along with the town's many new residents.
But there is much the young queen does not yet know about being a changeling. Some things, she will learn, can be chosen, while others will be chosen for her. With new allies and enemies emerging all around her, Applejack must discover what it truly means to rule before the choice is taken from her forever, and the history of the changelings repeats itself, once again...

Applejack awakens after a terrible injury and finds that her parents have never died. Was her orphaned life just a fevered dream? As AJ tries to cope with her new reality, old memories begin to haunt her nightmares. These shadows begin to follow her and AJ’s family begins to worry about her sanity. Determined to find the truth, AJ retraces the events prior to her injury and uncovers a secret that her parents hid years ago. She embarks on a quest to right a wrong left unfinished and her journey puts the relationships with her siblings to the test. Can this second chance truly bring a happy ending, or is it just another shot to set things right?

When the Cutie Mark Crusader's plan to get their cutie marks backfire, Applejack saves them but ends up stranded deep within the Everfree Forest. Now, she must use all of her wits and skills to survive as something not belonging to this world hunts her. Meanwhile, Apple Bloom must face the guilt of what she has done before it destroys her friendships forever.

Author's Note: This is book 2 of my series. However, it isn't necessary to read book one first, there will be a few minor references to the first story, but you'll follow it just fine. But why not check it out while you wait for the next chapter?

After being shipwrecked in Illyrimane, Applejack disguises herself as a stallion so she can make her own way into the world and serves the Duke Spike, who sends her to woo the Lady Rarity for him. Applejack is soon shocked to discover that the unicorn has fallen for her instead!

How will she untie this tangled knot? More importantly, how will she win the dragon she loves when he thinks she's a boy?

Life in Ponyville, outside of the usual events like a parasprite invasion or a revenge-seeking, all powerful megalomaniac kicking out the town librarian, tends to be laid back and typical. Which Applejack doesn't mind. However, after the CMC cause more problems due to influence from a newcomer in town, Applejack gathers the girls to go fix what the CMC did.

But then a mysterious creature ends up attacking Applejack, and while she survives and seems fine, it isn't long before she starts acting strangely. It's up to the usual group of ponies to figure out what's going on before it's too late.
