This is a crack fic inspired by a prompt from Bucking Nonsense when I was bored.

King Sombra has returned from the dead, reincarnated as one of the most fearsome forms in the world...a squirrel. Not to be deterred, he tries to take over Equestria again. It goes as well as you might expect.

Sombra never realized this would happen.
Usually a villain is suppose to be defeated, right?
So, why did he, well...win?
Even he was shocked to see the crystal heart in his hooves. Never in a thousand or so years did he think he would pull this off; that he would actually...win.
So, what will he do now? Just rule over everyone and enslave all of pony kind? Or Perhaps kill the princess and mind control that purple unicorn and her friends? Or maybe have some common sense and figure out just how he will deal with all of this in the long run? With all these questions, he knows one thing for sure.
This is going to be very awkward.

He was a king. The mightiest unicorn to walk the earth since Starswirl the Bearded. The unicorn who defied the alicorn sisters five times and lived. He terrified an entire race into servitude, and cast fear and darkness over all of Equestria.

He is a shadow. And soon, perhaps, he's not even that.

To the average observer, Sunset Shimmer made a full one-eighty when she was hit by the Rainbow Blast back when she turned into a She-Demon. However, she didn't just suddenly turn good or realize her mistakes. Truth be told, she died back then. She was welcomed into the cold embrace of death.
In that darkness, she found him. The one they call Sombra, there to welcome her to her doom. Surely a bright mind like her's knew the Price of Evil.

It's easy to hate a pony you don't know. The pony, whose name became the very definition of fear. The pony, who slaughtered thousands, if not millions. It's easy to hate what you don't know.

Sombra's life is shrouded in mystery. The long list of his crimes is known to everypony, but his real biography is unknown. Fight back your fear, and delve into the story of his life, from birth to imprisonment. Find out his every secret, feel his pain, his hatred, his love and his pride.

See how an innocent child was shaped to become the Eternal Weeper, the Bloody Emperor, the Demon King. See, how he earned these names, and why he walked the path he walked.

This story will contain gore, sensual scenes, disturbing ideas, mental disorders and very weird relationships.

Leon always had a lot of adventurous dreams in his life, but none of them could quite match this one. Being in the role of a unicorn villain, in a mysteriously well detailed world, in which he has to take over an entire empire! Or at least that’s his plan. He always wanted to play the role of a villain and why not use this opportunity?

But he has to come in grip with his new powers yet. Taking over the Crystal Empire isn’t easy and a lot of ponies sure don’t share his enthusiasm about his plans. Best thing would be to make a plan, that means, if he can make one before the guards catch him…

Princess Cadance has some problems in her sovereignty over the Crystal Empire. For one thing, she isn't even a crystal pony. Another thing is that the crystal ponies would much rather have the former King Sombra rule over them... despite previously reigning with an iron hoof and treating the populace like whipping mules. To prevent civil war, Cadance has a brilliant idea to ensure her bid for the throne while pleasing the people: have an election.

And it's any wonder ponies don't have democracy.

The night after the Crystal Empire was saved, Twilight Sparkle had a vision in her sleep of King Sombra warning her that he would return soon. Twilight grows worried but has faith that the power of friendship will conquer him. King Sombra may have not spoken much during the battle, but he has plenty to say to Twilight...

This short story was written up in just a few days and might be a bit choppy so I apologize if it seems that way...
