One year has passed since our heroes first met and saved all of Equestria. Now, Flash must protect the newly crowned Princess Twilight as she carries out her duties. But when a strange new power awakens, he must learn to grasp his own destiny. And as this happens, his friends must all face their own challenges in life, and must overcome them together.

After their battle with King Sombra, Flash and friends are hoping to go back to Ponyville and relax. However, things are never what they seem, as the Elements of Harmony soon find out that new adventures and threats are just around the corner. And as these encounters make themselves known, they soon find out that it'll take more than the Elements to take on these new enemies.

Spike led Thorax into the throne room of the Crystal Castle confident he could convince the others that the changeling could be trusted. That he meant no harm, and instead wanted to be an ally and live peacefully with them. That he could make them see Thorax for what he really was. That they could befriend the changeling and accept him as one of their own.

They didn't.

And consequences followed.

It's has been one week since the new Seven Elements of Harmony defeated the Mare in the Moon, Nightmare Moon. Celestia brings the Statue of Discord to Ponyville with the wary intention of releasing him, as per a mysterious deal negotiated between Discord and the alicorn sisters. With the ancient war between Harmony and Discord now officially over, with the Chaos God curious over his own defeat, both sides most decide what to do now. Can Discord make a place for himself among ponykind or will he leave Equestria entirely?

It'll at least be interesting with the reluctant supervision and aid of the six who defeated him, Discord actually putting forth some effort, and Celestia personally keeping an eye on everything.

A retelling of Keep Calm and Flutter On with a more long term reformation of Discord.

Tirek's brother Scorpan never really accepted his brother could wander so far off the good path. Deluded and crazed from missing him, he has one simple goal: break his brother out. To do that, he will need magic beyond anything he's seen before. DARK magic.

With the discovery that Sombra is not only the lone survivor of the Umbrum race, but may not have been completely destroyed, he sets out to locate what remains of Sombra's horn. From this he is able ressurect the former tyrant and keep him captive. Day by day, draining his magic. But thats just the start. He has other plans for the Umbrum pony's magic abilities...

When a passing bird finds its way into the cave, it delivers this news to Fluttershy. On Celestia's orders she and the others go to find Sombra and try stop Scorpan's plans.

But the Sombra they bring back to Canterlot isnt the former foe they once knew. Lost and afraid, his mind fractured by Scorpan's torture, Sombra seems out of thier reach. Now they have to race against an incoming doom to try and heal the broken King before it reaches Canterlot.

But how will things fare when Discord gets invovled? Can his unorthodox methods break Sombra's nightmares into dust and get him on his feet, or will the unicorn finally lose hope?

Following the defeat of Queen Chrysalis, the princesses of Equestria seek to build a relationship with newly-crowned King Thorax and forge an alliance between ponies and changelings that has never been seen before.
