Black Star is a rare talent in the field of black magic. After many years of study she is on the verge of something amazing, tantalizing and by many thought to be impossible. The summoning of a spirit from another realm. If she succeeds, this new spirit will be the first to grace the world since the six in the beginning of time. From the shadows her benefactor is looking on with interest. But is this really the ultimate goal of the research she's been put in charge of? Come with me into the world of Spectrum, and follow the lives and adventures from several walks of life. There are influential ponies from the military, the spirit from another realm, and even a little family from North Bay, all trying to survive what the world throws at them.

Before we begin, I have to warn sensitive readers that the story centers on a sensitive subject; the exploitation of others in some form or another. The gore in the story is mostly light, but the dark and tragedy tags are not on this story by accident. There are some pretty grim moments, but there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. I think... maybe...

PS: This is a story in the same universe as True Colors. But it is intended as a standalone story... for now… okay it will intertwine with True Colors but can still be read on its own.
PS nr2: Twilight and Nightmare Moon are background ponies in the story, but the while be popping up every now and again.

Twilight Sparkle is trapped in the body of a human who in turn, has taken her own and disappeared with it. Nopony believes her: not her brother, friends, nor mentor. She is being interrogated and asked a single question: Where is Twilight Sparkle? When she tells them that she is the one they seek, torture follows. Twilight begins to lose hope and weighs the question: What's the point of going on when even the world bets against you?

When a mass gaming craze hits Equestria, everypony rushes to get in on it. Apparently a new company known as C. C. Corp releases a game known simply as "The World". It gets a good reception, and soon is a thriving franchise. But after a while, The World became less peaceful, as more and more ponies began to take to "PK'ing". Though it is somewhat managed by the admins, it leads to a secondary action called "PKK'ing".

Twilight Sparkle, who was immune to the gaming fad longer than most due to her love of books. But when all her friends ask her to join, she can't refuse. As soon as she begins playing, she meets with two others, who will forever change how she plays the game.

Twilight becomes a famous PKK known simply as "The Terror of Friendship," and actively seeks weak players to protect. But when one of her friends falls into a coma, she turns all her attention to seeking out the perpetrator, a PK who apparently goes by "Tri-Edge". But after finding and taking on the player Twilight assumes is Tri-Edge, she is beaten, and returned to a level 1 player. What happened during Twilight's battle? Who is this mysterious player? Why are more and more ponies falling into comas?

When Discord returns to Ponyville, the ponies think they already know all of his tricks. But when Twilight Sparkle gets sent to another dimension, where Pegasi dwell on Butterfly Island and Unicorns make rainbows in Unicornia, there seems to be no way to reunite the ponies! The Elements will have to find new hosts, and Twilight some new friends, as the ponies of this new world will have to learn true danger and bravery, and Twilight true friendship.

This is my first pony fanfic. I just felt like letting you know.
If you're too lazy to read, there are very fine Youtube readings of this story by this fine fellow and this fine fellow. I do revise my story a lot, though, so they might be outdated. Sorry about that! ^^;

When a Necromancer is hurled into the place between places then escapes to another world at the cost of his life it is not the end. Being a Necromancer he returns to life with ease, but is skirting the edges of consciousness, and unable to truly wake as a mysterious figure uses magic to put him on the back of a horse to carry him away into the night.

To make matters worse the phylactery he used to save his own life recreated him as a member of the dominant race with... some errors. His injuries are still present and he's now in a much smaller body with his magic drained to nothingness.

So now he's horribly injured, held captive by an unknown force, in an unfamiliar body, in an unfamiliar world and completely exhausted. He's had worse days. He just can't think of any off the top of his head. So familiar territory then, nothing to worry about.
