Octavia and Caramel have been happily married for fifteen years. Or have they?
A year after their marriage, Caramel started working all the time. It was a very rare thing for them to see each other, so as a result, Octavia became unhappy.
After four years of this, Octavia finally told Caramel how she felt, and he snapped.
Caramel became insanely clingy, Caramel would never leave Octavia alone, and when she tried to go out with her friends or tell him to stop, he would sob and emotionally abuse her. So as a result she gave up on love.

Years later, Octavia gets a new job where she meets, Lyra, Bon Bon, and her boss Vinyl Scratch. As she learns about these new friends and grow closer and closer to them, she starts to fall in love with Vinyl.

Will Vinyl feel the same?
If she does how will Octavia keep their relationship hidden?
Will Octavia finally get a divorce with Caramel?
And if Caramel ever learned that Octavia loved somepony else, how will he react?

*EDIT* Hello, ponies! This was originally going to be a one-shot wonder, but I enjoyed writing it, so there you are. And although it says 'completed', that's only really because each chapter can be read alone. I'll probs always be adding more chapters!

With another night of drinks comes another visit to Octavia's house for Vinyl. The reasons for both are as they have been for the past while.

Despite the somewhat recent bad blood between the two, Octavia can't see somepony once dear to her suffer.

The trouble is, can she truly speak to one who is unwilling to listen?

A year goes by and nothing changes: Octavia comes home late with tears and her family home is still in jeopardy, but Vinyl is used to it. They both are. The night ends no less calmly than any other Sunday too.
Then with the next morning comes calamity. There are few frustrations as painful as to be helpless against a loved one's suffering, and with the new day Vinyl comes to terms with the reality of how futile all that pain really was.

We always tell ourselves to not dwell on the past. But what we do in the past marks us in the present and stays with us until we resolve it. And sometimes all we need is a little courage and love to overcome it.
