A devastating fire in the library where she worked and the resulting deaths of five girls has caused young librarian Twyla Sparks to go over the edge. Dr. Stephen Pike, Twyla’s supervising psychiatrist, believes her to be mostly harmless, and that there is hope to snap her out of it, if only he can get her transferred away from the confining halls of Pennville Sanitorium. But there's a few hitches... And having Twlya believe she's a unicorn is a major hitch.

Twilight Sparkle, proud personal student of Her Royal Highness Princess Celestia, has just arrived to Ponyville with a supposedly critical assignment: "make some friends." Surely there are more important matters to attend to? Surely Princess Celestia would understand if Twilight reneged just this once, for the greater good? Surely… a coin flip would help.

But it can be unwise to trust in fate.

Rarity receives an invitation to Equestria’s most exclusive and secretive social club. The only catch is, she can only attend if she brings her lawfully wedded spouse. Fortunately, there’s a certain purple dragon who’s willing to help her overcome this little difficulty. It’s a simple, foolproof plan: get married, attend the club, and then get an annulment. Nothing is ever that simple, however… not their weekend, not their friendship, and certainly not their marriage.
