The Zone.

Miracle, curse, nopony's land... all these descriptions apply. It is a highly dangerous place, filled with nightmares and deathtraps at every turn, but also with treasures worth a pony's weight in golden bits. This is why there is a constant stream of illegal 'tourists' past the magical barriers.

A young pony enters, inexperienced, but also with a purpose. Will this newcomers resolve be enough to combat the Zone? Let's see.

The legends told of their return.

For over a decade Equestria has been beset by the dragons. Every year more villages vanish in flames, and the lonely cities stand as our last redoubt. Winter has gripped the world, and our hope is fading.

But the legends tell of another, a light in the darkness. The Dragonborn, a mythic warrior reborn with the power of the Voice, the only one who can stand against the dragons.

But when she appeared, she was not what we were expecting...

War. War was a foreign concept. After over a millennium of peace, the dark shadow of war covers Equestria leading to the Last Day and the end of pony civilisation for two hundred years. This is the tale of a pony who came long before the Wasteland, before Littlepip, before Red Eyes and the Enclave. This is the story of Rivet Bolt and his journey to become a champion of peace through an instrument of chaos.

Ember is a young unicorn mare who regains her freedom after years of slavery. Follow her on her journey through the wasteland. Will she withstand its horrors without going crazy? This story is a sequel to In Her Majesty's Royal Service

After guardsponies Storm Stunner, Crack Shot, and Check Mate proved instrumental in stopping an interdimensional incident that threatened to annoy the city of Canterlot, the Royal Guard made a realization: perhaps they might just be able to serve functions beyond pulling aerial chariots and trying not to blink in public.

Now months later, they're finally starting to get somewhere with each of the odd regimens they've designed; it's a shame that three of their number will have to miss the progress to follow. In recognition of their prior bravery, quick thinking, (and to a smaller degree their dumb luck), Princess Luna has given Storm, Check, and Crack Shot a special assignment: to visit the lands on the borders of pony control, to sample the local flavors, and to maybe even take a picture or two. One might dare to call it a vacation.

However, expectations mean little so far from home, and despite Luna's wishes to keep the guardsponies out of harm's way, the world can easily change in a thousand years. The three guardsponies may be forced to deal with the inconvenience of their vacation turning into an adventure.

First Story: In Her Majesty's Royal Service

What happens when a land no longer needs a hero? Where do they turn to? One such draconic ex-hero is about to find that answer beyond the fourth wall... along with a whole heap of trouble.

When balefire and death rained from the skies, many took sanctuary in the giant underground shelters known as Stables. However, those who could not make it to one of the many Stables set sail for the Summer Sunset Islands. They hoped that the tourist hot spot would be spared the devastation. These refugees soon faced a sheer wall of violent weather, known today as The Storm Wall, sealed them away from the rest of the world. The refugees were forced to live their lives on the high seas of Oceania.

Two hundred years later, a tribal seapony has a chance encounter that would change life in Oceania forever.

When Ruby boards the first trans-oceanic flight in Equestrian history, the last place she expects to end up is stranded in the middle of Eternity's Crossing in the wake of a horrific zeppelin crash. After a mysterious tower leads her and a fellow survivor to discover a twisted and fragmented city twenty thousand feet below the surface of the ocean, though, a bit of fire and smoke is the last thing she needs to worry about. Between the horrendously disfigured residents and the paranoia of the madmare who once built and controlled it, daily survival in this corrupted utopia is anything but a guarantee. But with the help of some new friends and a few genetic enhancements, Ruby isn't going down without a fight, and in the process might just discover that the deadliest weapon in Harmony is herself.

Based off of Alexstrazsa's "The 63rd Rune," this story focuses on the relationship that develops between Rainbow Dash and Octavia. The night they shared at the Prime Pegasus, their chance encounter in Canterlot, as well as their meeting after Rainbow Blitz was turned back into a mare are all to be explored through the eyes of everyone's favorite blue winged pegasus. The teen rating is probably an overstatement, but I'm going to stick with being safe over sorry.
