Rainbow Dash has always been loyal to her friends and Equestria. Such loyalty was unmatched, legendary even. That is, until the day she discovers a strange creature lying in the Everfree Forest. Her friendships are put to the test, when instead of simply handing the creature over to the princess, she finds herself caring for it in secret.

She soon learns that some secrets come with high costs. But is it really worth betraying a friend's life even if it means remaining loyal to the ones you already have?

Rated Teen for possible violence just in case. Random tag because I have a good idea where the story is headed, but I haven't worked out all the details.

The last year certainly hasn't been ideal for me. Losing Applejack followed almost immediately by Sweetie, well... maybe I spent more time in the Boutique and less time with my friends, but then... I don't know why, but I just had to get out of the Boutique. Get out before I did something drastic and incredibly stupid. But once out, where do I go? It's pouring rain, and I'm certainly not about to go back. Not tonight. Twilight's castle is glowing in the distance. This story is something of a special project. I aim to write, edit, and publish a story a day. The rules are simple, each chapter must be written and edited in one day, and I must publish an update every day. I have gifted myself a five day backlog to allow for days where I am completely unable to write due to travel, work, or illness. If I fail my challenge, I will still try to do two chapters in one day, and if I fail that, I will just try to carry on and make sure there are as few failed days as possible. Hopefully, I will see you at the end of the month with a flawless record behind me.
