This is a stand-alone short story that is a sequel to the events of Change Of Life and the Chrysalis Resurgent series. Knowledge of the events in those stories is necessary to understand fully what is happening in this one.

Three days have passed since the Great Change. Ironically, King Thorax is about to be the last bug in the Hive to learn an important truth.

The secret is something obvious he overlooked in his zeal for sharing love. It bears consequences for the entire Hive... and hard facts about who Thorax truly is.

This story is a sequel to A Changeling Goes to the Market

After the strange event at the market, Ponyville is on edge. Some ponies call for the capture of the strange bug-pony and others are simply too scared to go and talk to it. Twilight decides to head into the Everfree to find the bug-pony and talking pebble. She learns some strange things about them in the process.

The changelings are content with their recent change, but they're all still working to adjust to the full scope of these changes.

Thorax, however, finds there was one personal change he's somehow overlooked.

Rated Teen for implied subject material...but I was able to avoid discussing it directly so much so that it's probably overkill on my part.

While looking for answers about the past, the mane five discover the old changeling hive, and with it they find the only changeling left, who proceeds to tell them his story.

The siege of Canterlot is underway and the Praetorians are heading the battle destorying any and all resistance they face leaving lesser guards to cleanup the aftermath. Changelings all swarm the skies, quickly overwhelming Canterlot as they edge ever closer to victory. The streets of Middle Canterlot however prove to be a much harder fight.

One such Praetorian however is about to have reality dawn upon him.

Short story done on the spur of the moment. May adjust tags if needed but the Gore tag is there for a reason due to the start of the story. There is one instance of profanity, I don't feel it's enough to warrant the profanity tag however.

Yet another take on the future of the story The Changeling of the Guard by vdrake77. Because apparently this is a subgenre now.

This time our favourite changeling guard is assigned to guard Canterlot during the wedding. What will happen when he meets the new Cadance?
