Not really sure what was going through my head when I thought this up. It definitely fits the random category though.

Twilight Sparkle may believe in Pinkie Pie's myriad abilities, but when an opportunity to study them from a perspective she never thought possible arises, how can she resist the chance at the understanding she's always truly wanted? More importantly, can Ponyville survive the trade-off necessary for this opportunity?

Trixie intercepts a scientific journal, destined to the hooves of Twilight Sparkle from a colleague in the Royal Court. It details the search for the legendary Philosopher's Stone.

But all is not as it seems.

Will Trixie use this book for revenge against her violet nemesis?
Will she obtain the stone?
Will people understand that 'under no circumstances read' is just a title?

Later chapters contain some amounts of blood and some injuries, but it's not a terribly violent fic. I'm not really sure if I need the gore flag, or how to tag this.

Twilight Sparkle is tasked with checking over preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration and to make some new friends. Shortly after she enters Ponyville, a couple of colts lead Twilight to meet the Great and Powerful Trixie. Because of this, Celestia's star pupil meets and befriends different ponies than the ones she had intended.
