Inspired by the Friendship is Awesome Thread 'Survival of Your Pony Race' by Silver Dragon Blade Wing, and a character experiment with my OC, Star Wing.

Being the Daughter of Princess Luna is a difficult thing: ponies don't trust you or your mother, and respect can be hard to come by. But Star Wing is determined to beat the odds and become a hero.

When an engimatic magic wolf named Shiva and her equally strange pack become known to the lands of Equestria, Star Wing believes she's finally found her chance for glory. But when a conspiracy threatens to rip apart Star's family, she will discover that not all is as it seems, and that fear is the greatest enemy of all.

Recent revelations have shaken them, but they stand firm, their friendship and love as strong as ever, if not stronger. They help each other, lend their strength and remain united by the magic they all share. The threat is defeated, as it always is.
But these threats are never truly gone. They wait, they fester, they grow... they rise. Now, they have risen once more. Growing shadows creeping from the North. Vows of vengeance rising from the Pits. Roars of rage echoing across the land. Once again, they must stand together and face them, strengthened by their ever-growing friendship.
But these ancient enemies aren't the only things that need to be contended with. Dusk and Twilight continue to explore their relationship, but what will it lead to? They know of Ray's terrible secret, but how will they ultimately cope? What are these whispers of Twilight's destiny between the Royal Sisters? After Spyro had defeated Malefor, the world was still being torn asunder. But in the last moments, a bright flash happened, and now he and Cynder are still alive.

That all happened several years ago.

In an effort to try and find Spike's birth parents, Twilight stumbles upon a hidden society of creatures who have been friendly towards ponies for years. Their leaders? Spike's biological parents and two very familiar ones at that.

A story somewhat inspired by Spike's Two Mommies - Fimfiction but with barrowed elements from Ponyville goes to the...dragons?? - Fimfiction such as Ember from the Spyro the Dragon franchise falling in love with Spike but with my own spin of the purple dragon also being sought after by a suddenly jealous Rarity and Garble's own sister Smolder. Yet the main ship will be Spike and StD Ember even if I am coming around to Spike & Smolder as a romantic pairing. This is more so for the purposes of this fanfic's plot more then anything.

Spike's not the only one that's going to be caught in the middle of a love triangle though. I have a couple of tricks of my own up my sleeve. Of course, anyone caught saying my other surprises before I reveal them in the comments will see their comments auto-deleted on the spot so...don't.

Spike's future is undetermined, with a role he has yet to accept and a struggle over his destiny, between the family he grew up with or the family he needed. With time, he may not be the same as he was before and what the changes that have manifested with him, may hold.

If you think you know me, then you are truly mistaken.

Back where I'm from, I was forced to go with my classmates to a museum filled with costumes and clothes. It wasn't quite my cup of tea until I met a woman who told me that she could tailor something for me for a small fee. So, I asked for a scarf that resembled the burning flame of a phoenix. After receiving it though, things began to go south (Mostly because of my emotions back then). My life was already a living hell and ending up in another world was the last thing I would've expected.

But as I would find out, my life experiences and the things I've learned in the course of my long life have forged me into the being that I am. The tortured phoenix with a burning heart and spirit.

I am Ember Valkyr. The flame that will be the last thing you'll see.
