A Thousand years has passed, and Equestria has received its Princess of the Night. Things slowly return to normal. But odd things soon happen, making every pony question The Princess of The Light's true motives. But who's to say that when the Princess of the Night returned, some pony else was forgotten?

There is only one real rule regarding changeling royalty: there must always be a queen. Twilight Sparkle is about to learn this through personal experience.

Set after season three.

A thousand years in Equsetria's past everything seems bright for it's citizens but unbeknownst to them their rulers are still young and immature by Alicorn standards. The newer generations barely regard Luna as a major part of their leadership or their lives setting Luna on the path to become Nightmare Moon. But this is all changed when close to her breaking point Luna meets a creature who can grant her what she wants, to be loved while her elder sister is scorned. Her wish is granted but at a dire cost. What she thought was her dream come true became a nightmare that the princess of dreams could not escape.
Note: I made the possessed Celestia a little more darker than Nightmare Moon or the series's Daybreaker.

The curse of Nightmare Moon was defeated when Twilight Sparkle and her friends successfully freed Princess Luna from its vicious grasp.

However, an encounter with corrupted magic draws Luna's dark past out once more and this time it will do whatever it takes to stay free, even forming an unlikely alliance...

Twilight Sparkle was born on the moon, 999 years before the 1000th summer sun celebration. Her mother, Princess Luna, trains her and teaches her to be the perfect ruler. Her plan is to stop this Nightmare and be happy.

Of course, Twilight gets released early, and has to face this whole new world without her mother. At least it will be a while before Celestia finds her and finds out her motives, or will it?

Twilight will have to deal with things she definitely wasn't trained for, including a possible love interest?

What could have happened if Nightmare Moon had won over Twilight Sparkle and her friends? The tome Princess Celestia gives Twilight explains what she saw while using a spell. It shows a new threat to Equestria, as well, and Princess Celestia said this story has no happy ending.

Story Two of the Haven Trilogy, a partial sequel to Solar Flare concerning the second tome Twilight Sparkle received. I don't feel this is close to the best I could do, considering that when this was written, I was suffering from an immense case of Writer's Block.
