Chrysalis's plan might've failed in Canterlot, but she has a plan B.
To have a changeling/pony hybrid (thanks to a late night with Shining) and use the child's powers for her own doing.
But when a regular earth pony (that almost looks like Shining) spawns with absolutely no changeling features or powers whatsoever, she realizes that, not only will she bring it to the father, since she has no idea how take care of a pony, but that that was her last shot at getting food for her subjects. Her plans at helping her children have failed one too many times now.
Maybe she shouldn't try anymore...Maybe she should just...give up...give up and take this abomination away from her so she can finally end this!
Unless the child and his step parents can change that.

Sending things beyond the grasp of their planet has become almost routine. However, with every mission into space, there comes a time when the voyage must end. It's only been a day since the treaty was passed, and Stan still hates the ground-walkers and fliers and magicians. So his friend, Carl, decides to cheer him up by making him take part in his favorite activity. Getting drunk.

What a horrible mistake that was, since it gave Stan beer goggles for a certain white alicorn, and has him running around causing mischief at every turn.
Carl can only hope he can survive the night.

The day after Nightmare Night, Princess Celestia unexpectedly visits Twilight at her library. She scolds Twilight, accusing her of forcing Luna to relive the worst time of her life by taking on the guise of Nightmare Moon.

Luna is close behind her sister, and she and Twilight have a heart-to-heart conversation wherein each comes to understand the other a bit better.

This story takes place shortly after the events of Luna Eclipsed.

In an Equestria without the Princesses or the guidance of the Elements of Harmony, Twilight Sparkle is a researcher on the cusp of her greatest discovery and simultaneous fall from grace while finding love at the same time.

Injured, on the brink of death, and in need of urgent care, Tyler is quickly healed as much as magic can do, before he is put under the care of a suspicious Princess Luna. Yet this experiment-gone-wrong may prove as a blessing not only to Tyler, but Princess Luna as well...

Under the tender care of the Thestral (Bat Ponies) community, they will have their own challenges to face.

Now faced with numerous troubles, the largest being that no one seems to trust her, just how exactly will Tempest and her two friends reunite and find their way home?

Marked as a sequel to The Best Nightmare of my Life, as the concept being further explored is the one that sparked the Halloween One-shot. This is less comedy-oriented and more serious as to the topic of "Human looking like a villain" though.

Luna won't cooperate, Celestia hasn't answered the ransom demand, and Canterlot is acting like nothing is amiss. The moon rises and sets just like it always has.
