With Twilight Sparkle now a princess, Big Mac feels uncertain that he's good enough to be in a relationship with her. Can he write up a letter to fully express how he feels, and how will Princess Twilight respond?

Twilight Sparkle always thought that the supernatural was just a bunch of superstitious nonsense, just some scary stories to tell around a campfire. She couldn't have been more wrong.

After an occult ritual gone horribly right, Twilight finds herself among the ranks of these so called 'myths', whether she likes it or not. Due to the same force that changed her, dark shadows have begun to spread across Equestria, bringing to life these ancient fairy tales. And Twilight might just be the only one that can stop them...

For better or for worse, Twilight has been changed. Will she embrace this dark gift and become the hero Equestria needs, or will she eventually succumb to temptation and become the very thing she fights?

Novel Tale is an author that's been living in Canterlot for about ten years now. That's a pretty good track record for a changeling. He's even included a changeling character in his latest book, and his fans have been loving his take on such an obscure mythological creature, especially his biggest fan, Twilight Sparkle. Things are looking up!

Then an army of changelings from another hive attacks Canterlot.

Now all of ponykind knows that changelings are real, and his readers are sure to realize that the changeling in his book was too similar to the real thing to have just been based on a myth...

Twilight Sparkle is one of them.

Sure, other ponies might say she's the luckiest pony ever, being the personal protégé of Celestia, a well known pony in all of Equestria.

What they don't know, Twilight Sparkle isn't Twilight Sparkle.

Everything was perfect, her cover has never been blown. Until that one fateful day, the day Shining Armor, Twilight's brother, should have been married, the day of the changeling invasion.

Big Macintosh and Twilight Sparkle are happily married and expecting their first child. This keeps Big Mac busy and unable to work as much at Sweet Apple Acres. So they seek outside help in the form of cousin Braeburn. The Appleoosan native decides to bring his best friend, Malady "Mal" Wesson, along which doesn't please Applejack as he used to pick on her when she was a little filly. Pinkie immediately befriends Braeburn, and it's easy to see sparks flying between the two. For the first time in her life, somepony asks Pinkie what she would do, instead of her just going along with what every other pony wants; and she doesn't know how to deal with this. Meanwhile, Applejack finds herself developing feelings for her childhood tormentor; and she can't stand it!

This is the third story in my TwiMacVerse. I highly recommend reading the first two stories in the series if you haven't already. Malady Wesson is a character from my story, My Little Wasteland, but that story is not connected to this continuity so you don't have to read that story to know anything about the character. Twilight rushes home one evening due to a horribly embarrassing event that has just transpired in her life. When Spike finally gets her to talk about it, she tells him of her newly found crush, and how she may have messed up any chance she had at a relationship. With the advice from her number one assistant and friend Applejack, can Twilight fix what happened and get a second chance with her crush?

First fanfic I've written, and a one shot at that. A sequel is in the works if this goes over well!
