Applejack has had a crush on Rarity for awhile, but she is unsure that the white unicorn shares her feelings, or if she even likes mares. The usually honest farm mare finds herself lacking something she'd never have expected: Courage.

Perhaps the courage of her other friends can help her to work up her own, or will she watch helplessly as Rarity ignores her forever?

You may notice, that the Golden Oaks Library makes an appearance. This is because we know next to nothing about the Friendship Rainbow Kingdom Castle, I will not write about it until Season 5 comes out and we learn how it looks on the inside other than the throne room, or if Twilight will even live there full time. You can assume this story takes place before "Twilight's Kingdom".

I hope you all enjoy this, my first fic centred around any of the Mane 6. Also my first non-comedy.
I know "how they got together" fics are overdone. But as I always say "If it's over done, it's probably good."

As always, someone may have written a highly similar story already, but if so, I have not read it.

A poorly-planned out sleep-over reveals a secret Applejack has been keeping from Rarity: not only does she own a plush toy greatly resembling her friend, but she holds some strong feelings for that friend as well.

Rarity dates many stallions but she is better than each one of them, and the only pony aware of that is Applejack. When Rarity dates her latest coltfriend, Applejack is more frustrated and angry than before, but her friends believe she is jealous. However, they're not wrong.

Rarity only wished for a knight in shining armours to come and save her from some mortal dangers. Her experience with the nobility at the Grand Galloping Gala left her with a sour taste. Until one day she was ready to give up her dream and move on.

It was the day she was saved by a knight, the one she deserved, not the one she wished for.

Rarity reads a romance novel that has a small twist on her expectations. This spirals out of control and she finds herself fixated on Applejack, of all ponies.

Is the book to blame, or is it something else?

When Rarity is at the end of her rope in need of an emerald to finish an order, Jack comes through with the only one to be had in the town or surrounding countryside. But Rarity recognizes it; a gift she gave Jack long ago, when they were schoolgirls and Rarity was unable to decide what her feelings for Jack were. Knowing that the farmer kept it all these years makes her reconsider her stance on the rough cowgirl.

Cutie Mark Crusader sleepover at Rarity's! But when three little fillies demand a bedtime story, the fashionista desides to weave a tale of an unlikely romance.

Inspired by Great Big Sea's rendition of Captain Wedderburn

(Decided to try my hand at a RariJack story, even if most of it is told by proxy. Enjoy!)

This story is a sequel to The Fires of Friendship

Applejack is bitter about her lineage among the wealthy and sophisticated Oranges of Manehattan, who apparently abandoned her simple country family. Rarity is desperate to fit in with the urbane elites of the fashion world, even if it means disparaging and rejecting the Ponyville home she loves. On a trip to the big city for Equestria's famous Fashion Week, Applejack will teach Rarity to be honest and true to herself, and Rarity will show Applejack that a little generosity and forgiveness go a long way. Together, they will learn that each has exactly what the other needs to be complete.

This story is in the same continuity as "The Fires of Friendship," and I suppose it is a sequel of sorts, though there is no need to read that story first. More than anything, this story is birthday present for a dear friend, and a fun celebration of her favorite ship.
