In a parallel version of Equestria where ponies coexist happily with each other, and with their elven brethren, the world was once protected and guided by The Paladins of Harmony. But after they dispersed, the world fell into ruin. The three pony types—Earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi—and the three elf types—earth elves, mages, and fairies—now only live with their own kind.

Sunny Starscout is an earth pony living in the seaside town of Maretime Bay, alongside her adopted brother Keith Kogan. They grew up with stories about the Paladins of Harmony and Sunny still believes there is hope for this divided world.

One day, a lost unicorn named Izzy Moonbow and her mage friend, Katie Holt, wander into Maretime Bay. The town's residents react in panic, believing that Izzy and Mage are hostile invaders. Sunny and Keith, finally given an opportunity to make friends with a unicorn and mage, shelters Katie and Izzy in their home, and the two reveal that unicorns and mages no longer have magic powers following their sudden disappearance.

Together, with their childhood friends, Hunk Garret and Hitch Trailblazer, and the Pegasi princesses, Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm, along with their fairy friends, Lance and Allura, they embark on an adventure and travel across Equestria on a mission to restore magic to the land.

It's been ten years since former Supreme Rulers Celestia and Luna retired, with Princess Twilight ascending the the role as Supreme Ruler. During her reign, Spike became Twilight's Royal Advisor and the official Friendship Ambassador to all creatures. At the same time, Spike's friendship with Gabby had blossomed into love.

However, they have yet to decide whether they are ready for the next level of their relationship. All that would change, however, when the two young lovers happened to discover a lost child. Their relationship will be put to the test as they work together to care for the child as their own, support its needs, and keep their love strong.

The weak Princess sits on her throne. Guards—and a dragon—keep monsters behind the door. The Elements concentrate on a spell. Fewer guards return in each instance.

With an unusual turn of events and an odd alliance of ancient creatures occurring, the Legion must work together to fight this new threat and the newfound power that could end their existence.

After two years of peace and happiness in Equestria since the defeat of Grogar, the Decepticons now direct their focus on a new target: earth. Shockwave rises from the shadows to create a new army to conquer earth and its inhabitants and to convert earth’s energy to energon to restore Cybertron. Grimlock and the other Dinobots team up with the Equestria Girls to put an end to Shockwave’s masterplan and the Decepticon reign of terror for good. The ultimate questions are: who shall stand? Twilight Sparkle finds an ancient star chart which shows the location of another world, Earth, as well as a powerful teleportation spell capable of interstellar travel. Princess Celestia allows Twilight to go to the other world for exploration. However, due to the Changeling invasion during the royal wedding, the negative energies it produced also frees Discord from his stone prison, who also decides that Earth should be his new playground. Meanwhile the Autobots continue to defend Earth from Megatron, and his Decepticons; ignorant that a new player is about to release chaos upon the world. And Megatron is not about to let another would-be conqueror steal his prize. Equestria also has it's problems when Queen Chrysalis returns to Canterlot, bent on usurping Celestia and Luna.
