Canterlot...
Canterlot...
Canterlot...it's only a model.
Shh!
Ponies I welcome you to CANTERLOT!
Du dududu du!
We're Guards of Celestia's Table,
We prance when ere we're able,
We do flight routines and chorus scenes
With hoofwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Canterlot,
We eat hay and jam and oats a lot.
We're Gaurds of Celestia's Table,
Our air show are formidable,
But many times, we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable.
We're Opera mad in Canterlot,
We sing from the diaphragm
a looooooot.
At court we're tough and able.
Quite indefatigable.
Between our quests we make arrests,
And impersonate Clark Stable!
It's a busy life in Canterlot-
'I like to ham it up a lot.'

This space is a blankflank.

Filk is Magic, vol 4
by TwilightSnarkle
88 Lines about 44 Ponies
With apologies to The Nails. Really, guys. I’m sorry. =)
Sweetie was a gentle foal
Who wanted a mark on her end
Scootaloo was rough and tumble
On the same quest with her friends
AppleBloom was AJ’s sis
But had a bow ‘stead of a hat
Rarity raised Sweetie Belle
And owned a psychopathic cat
Twilight was a friendless gal
Who got sent down to Ponyville
Fluttershy, a pegasus
She freaked out when a bird was ill
Pinkie had a special way
Of turning life into a song
Applejack, who couldn’t lie
Was as gentle as she was strong
Zecora was a zebra-type
The ponies were scared of her wrath
Aloe owned a spa in town
And had the ‘poison-joke cure’ bath
Lotus worked there with her sis
Her hoofrubs done with loving care
Miss Mayor called upon her skill
And left a very happy mare
Mrs. Cake was happy to
Help with parties, big and small
Mr. Cake stuck with his wife
He didn’t mind the work at all
Trixie was a unicorn
Who was both Powerful and Great
Derpy Hooves, who had a foal
She had to go, the post was late
Luna was a lonely gal
Who spent existence cloaked by night
Celestia her older sis
Reveled in the sun’s pure light
Soarin’, colt, who loved to eat
Was never ever satisfied
Dash? She came and went so fast
She didn’t even say goodbye
Spitfire had Rainbow’s dream job
A Wonderbolt down to her core
Dinky was a little foal
Who couldn’t love her mommy more
Snips had a tendency to rush
Into ideas that brought him down
Snails was slow, but a good friend
Who always helped reverse his frown
Big Macintosh thought life was simple
A farmhorse with nothing to prove
Granny Smith, with her bad hip
Preferred a rocker to her hooves
Braeburn was a country gent
Apple-loosa he did proud
Bluegrass was another one
Defended it with pie and plow
Lyra was a grand performer
Gifted with an artist’s touch
Bon-Bon was the one who loved her
And every brony knows how much
Colgate, temptress, liked to tease
Young fillies with an eager brush
Berry Punch’s claim to fame
Was as Ponyville’s premier lush
Promontory, mighty stallion
Pulled the western-bound express
Steamer ran directly after
Never showing sign of stress
Evening Star, third engineer
Was blind to the meaning of fear
Coltrane, stoic, ever running
Always bringing up the rear
Silver Spoon, a spoiled brat
Thought her cutie mark was great
Diamond Tiara, her best friend
Mocked others when their marks were late
Twist found she liked peppermint
And bee-girl dresses, see the pic?
Cherilee would not approve
Of all the ‘hot for teacher’ fic.
Carrot Top, so generous
For others keeps her icebox full
Photo Finish works da magiks
For her fans she breaks the rules
Sapphire Shores, pony of pop
Her vocalizing glorious
Vinyl Scratch, DJ PON-3

This poem is little over half way down in chapter 6 of Friendship is Optimal. It does not have a title but I like to call it "The Process". Anyways, the author is Chatoyance. I do not know who is the author of this poem nor does Chatoyance take credit for it. If you believe you know who is responsible for it please leave me message in the comments section and I will give credit where credit is due. Thankyou.
I am the playing, but not the pause.
I am the effect, but not the cause.
I am the living, but not the cells.
I am the ringing, but not the bells.
I am the animal, but not the meat.
I am the walking, but not the feet.
I am the pattern, but not the clothes.
I am the smelling, but not the rose.
I am the waves, but not the sea
Whatever my substrate, my me is still me.
I am the sparks in the dark that exist as a dream -
I am the process, but not the machine.
Every Pony do the shuffle!
Thank you for the fave! I'm liking the song of your people, by the way.
Stop says the red light, go says the green
Wait says the yellow light, twinkling in between.
KNEEL, SAYS THE DEMON LIGHT
WITH ITS EYE OF COAL
SAURON KNOWS YOUR LICENSE PLATE
AND STARES INTO YOUR SOUL
Thanks for the fav on Remembering the Fallen! It's my first sad fic and my first one targeted at the history of Nightmare Moon's rebellion. Expect more to be revealed in my current fic Canterlot and possible more in upcoming fictions.
The Fairness/Effective Equation:
(fair(x) => effective(X)) does not imply (not(fair(X)) => not(effective(X)))
Special thanks to Bad Horse for coming up with this. I still have no idea how to make sense of it but it's still funny. Go read his stories.

Thanks for the fave!
Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of this town right here.
In Sugercube corner placed to be raised
In the party where I spent most of my day
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all talking to some crusaders outside of the school
When a spoiled little brat, that were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my shrink got scared
And said "You're moving in with the Cakes right in here!"
