On a cold day in Canterlot, Crystal Shard has been hired to retrieve some rubies for a fashionista in Ponyville. After a quick detour, he reminisces about his younger days, when both he and the mines seemed to be so much richer.

((This is basically just an experiment in characterization. The plot serves little than to hint at things that will be played upon in future projects. This is just my attempt to get inside the head of my OC.))

This was the last time I would see the land that I could call my home. The Griffons, while a rather crude and brash race, had shown to have incredible compassion to those in suffering.

Now I would have to leave it, for a much more important task lay ahead of me, and two special fillies that I had to make sure arrived there.

Melody has been having a hard time at school. It's not that she has trouble completely the work, she just simply doesn't want to do it.

After a heated argument with her mother, she runs off. In the park, her father finds her. He tries to help her understand why her mother was so harsh, and that she didn't mean it.

Melody just doesn't understand why she is so strict...

The first Nightmare Night with Princess Luna was fantastic. Big Macintosh had finished his cart rides, and was ready to mingle with the rest of Ponyville. When Cheerilee comes rushing up with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle in tow, they learn Applebloom went missing from Pinkie's little herd. A search begins, and a creeping dread comes over Big Mac, as he can't help but notice a strange scent in the air, as they draw closer to the Everfree Forest...

Pinkie Pie was so very excited for the Grand Galloping Gala, like the rest of her friends. She prepared for the most super duper party in all of Equestria! Things didn't go as she had planned however.

Things got strange as soon as they left the carriage, as if something was urging her somewhere. Her mind was overcome with this desire, and she followed the voice into the Canterlot Gardens, where she was met with some very strange stone statues. One in particular, intrigued her to no end...

Scoots and her dad had a long battle, with snowballs flying left and right. With both of them freezing, it's up to Scottaloo's mother to warm them up.

The tundra had enveloped everything. The everlasting winter coated Equestria, and suffocated the land for almost a year.

Their goal was to reunite with the others, but the blinding blizzard made such a feat almost impossible. Once they reach their destination, they come across the entity that caused all of this.

Recovering from the Feather Flu, Blossomforth and Thunderlane regret being unable to participate in Tornado Day. As they watch the distant city of Cloudsdale work tirelessly with its new water, the two of them reminisce about their younger days, and wonder why the two of them had drifted so far apart.

Princess Skyla, Daughter of Cadance and Shining Armor, recounts a day in her foalhood when she met the imprisoned soul of Sombra. She argues with the ex-tyrant, believing that her parents are perfect in every way, especially her Father. Sombra says otherwise...
