In the meantime, you should probably check out the story I'm about to release. While not canon, it is set in the same multiverse as Memories, and you'll most definitely encounter a familiar face. (Not Nix...).

Not sure if some of you know this, but the latest site update included script to automatically remove bbcode markups in .epub files you download. So, if you're using an e-reader and a conversion program to get your fanfic freak on, like I do, there are no more italics/bold-faced fonts/colored text/hyperlinks/the kitchen sink/etc. when you download the epub file for my story. I'm adding the 'Dark' tag to Memories of a Phoenix. I've been wrestling with this decision for a while, but after a lot of thought I came to the conclusion that there was no way I could adequately characterize certain individuals without including some, uh, fairly messed up situations. If the actions of Dancie's father (you're going to hate him, by the way) don't warrant the tag, Nix's actions far down the line with the Diamond Dogs certainly does.

I remember when The Dusk Guard: Rise had fewer likes/faves than Memories of a Phoenix, which is just foolishness. Thankfully, that discrepancy has since been corrected, probably due in no small part to Viking ZX's laborious writer's blogs.

I'll be straight with you all, here. I haven't written myself into a corner; I've written myself into a world that's so large the original story might get lost in the din of other stories that play out in said theater. Memories of a Phoenix has increased in scope so far beyond what I originally imagined that, for a while, I felt a bit overwhelmed. Hell, in its infancy, the story was originally just gonna be a slice-of-life fic about Nix's interactions with the other characters.
