And much to his suspicion, Twilight finds herself in an unfamiliar Equestria controlled by an unknown malevolent being, one equally as powerful as the Narrator! Can Narry and the Elements of Harmony save Twilight from a world of chaos? And will more of his existence and abilities be revealed in the process?

A fledgling guitarist fresh out of suburbia, Stratocaster seeks out a living in the hustle and glamour of Manehattan City. As he drags himself through the bohemian life of a performing artist, he recounts his vivid experience in this hectic period of his journey. He'll brush shoulders with famous names. He'll scrape by on a shoestring budget. He'll face applause and heckling in blurs of light and sound. It is a period of highs and lows, and Strat remembers every detail.

An unfortunate circumstance at Crystal Prep! The Shadowbolts are shocked as they wander through school and come upon a body. The body of Sour Sweet! The signs are all there. She's been murdered! But by whom? As the Shadowbolts call upon their old friend Twilight Sparkle for help in uncovering this disaster, tensions run high. And it is not long until the Wondercolts fall under suspicion! But Twilight sets out to find the truth. Who killed Sour Sweet?!

Twilight and Rainbow are called to another adventure, which leads them to the Zebra civilization in the bayou. Zecora is distressed when she hears from her mother that the sinister magic of voodoo has been sensed in her home village, and there could be a dark curse unleashed upon the land. It is up to Twilight and Rainbow to aid Zecora in her endeavor, and save the zebras from evil.

But little do they expect that they would run into Equestria's greatest treasure hunter, who would guide them through the dark swamps and the hypnotic reach of voodoo.

After her odd encounter with the mysterious entity, Twilight has grown rather accustomed to living with the voice of a narrator following her life. Although she still doesn't understand his presence, she has begun to accept him as a friend. But the confusion only grows, as the Narrator finds himself following the stories of other ponies. And Twilight will soon learn that she is not the only one who can hear the voice of the handsome, talented, witty, charming, manly gentlecolt yours truly!

"...The stars will aid in her return, and she will bring about everlasting night..."

What really awakened the corrupted spirit of Princess Luna, Nightmare Moon, during the Sunset Celebration? As Twilight Sparkle moves to Ponyville, her worst fears of the prophecy are made real, and the dark sorceress unleashes her curse. But the prophecy failed to mention that she would not rise alone. During her imprisonment on the Moon, the corrupted goddess had taken three young colts from Equestria, and raised them to learn her dark magic. And as she trains them to spread darkness across the realm, the boys begin to look upon Nightmare Moon as their loving guardian. It is these three colts who are the key to fulfilling their mother's wish; to live in disguise among the ponyfolk, and stop the Elements of Harmony from keeping back the beauty of eternal night.

Bored of his lavish royal lifestyle, and the countless female suitors offered to him, Prince Blueblood takes a vacation from the good life to explore the simple quaintness of a small town. But only in Ponyville does the prince lay eyes on the most beautiful specimen he had ever seen: a brawny mare harvesting apples in the dirt and mud. Little does Blueblood realize how much his encounter with the simple farmer will change his way of life, and hers as well.
